Dear TMS Community,

As we reach the mid-term of the first quarter, this is a great time to check in with your child about how the school year is going. The start of a new year can bring both excitement and challenges, and taking a few moments to talk about their experiences, successes, and any struggles can go a long way. Please also know that our TMS staff will be reaching out if we notice areas of concern, because we believe in working together to support every student. By staying connected—both at home and at school—we can help ensure a positive and successful year for all of our learners. If you have not already done so, please set up your Parent PowerSchool account, which is essential for reporting absences. Please view below for directions.

We kindly ask that families reserve dropping off items at school for urgent situations only. Limiting drop-offs also helps us build student independence and responsibility, important skills for success both in and out of school.

Please refrain from dropping off:

  • Lunches (especially fast food). We cannot guarantee delivery during your child’s lunch period. TMS provides both hot and cold lunch options daily, so students will always have access to a meal.

  • Water bottles. Drinking fountains are available throughout the building.

  • Chromebooks. Students have access to classroom Chromebooks if needed.

If you must drop off an urgent item at TMS, please be sure to:

  1. Clearly label the item with your student’s name and grade level.

  2. Place it in the appropriate grade-level bin located outside the main office.

Thank you for helping us minimize interruptions to the school day while encouraging our students to grow as independent, responsible learners.
