PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear McNair Families,
Thank you for an outstanding first week of school! We did not experience any issues with cell phones this week, and that is a direct result of your support and partnership.
During our first week, students completed i-Ready testing, received their lockers, and began instruction on Day 1. We could not have accomplished this without your cooperation and commitment to helping us start the school year successfully.
Please remember that students are expected to follow the Fulton County Schools and McNair Middle School dress code each day. We ask families to ensure that students arrive dressed appropriately and ready to learn.
School doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the late bell rings at 8:55 a.m. Students should report to school on time so they can eat breakfast, transition to class, and begin the instructional day without interruption.
Please also be sure to review and sign the Student Code of Conduct acknowledgment in Infinite Campus as soon as possible.
If you need to reach me regarding an urgent matter, you may contact my work cell at 404-484-1763. When texting, please include your name and your student’s name so I can respond appropriately. Please allow 24–48 hours for a response.
Any confiscated cell phone must be retrieved by a parent or guardian directly from Dr. Cameron’s office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Phones cannot be retrieved after 4:45 p.m.
Thank you again for your continued partnership. We are looking forward to another great week at McNair Middle School!
Rooted in Excellence,
Dr. Keenan Cameron
Principal
Parents/Guardians - Review and Acknowledgements
Student Code of Conduct and Discipline Handbook
Parents/Guardians,
Please take a moment to review the Student Code of Conduct document linked below. After reviewing the document, please complete the acknowledgment in Infinite Campus by August 31.
Submitting the acknowledgment confirms that you have received and reviewed the Student Code of Conduct and are aware of the district's expectations for student behavior and conduct.
Student and Parent Device Handbook
Parents/Guardians,
Please take a few moments to review the Student/Parent/Guardian Device Handbook with your child. The handbook outlines important expectations for the care, use, and responsibility of school-issued devices.
We also encourage families to consider purchasing device insurance. Device insurance can help reduce the financial burden associated with accidental damage, loss, or repair of student devices throughout the school year.

Immunizations
Parents/Guardians,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, please take a moment to review the Fulton County Schools immunization requirements and ensure that your child has received all required vaccinations. Keeping immunizations up to date is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Please verify your child's records and submit any necessary documentation before the start of school to avoid enrollment delays. Thank you for your partnership in supporting the health and well-being of all students.

Assessments Updates
iReady Beginning of the Year (BOY)Diagnostic Assessment - Update
The i-Ready Beginning of the Year Diagnostic Assessment has been completed. We appreciate your support in helping our scholars successfully participate in this important assessment.
Students who were absent during the testing window will be pulled from class to complete make-up testing over the coming days.
The results of the assessment will help us better understand your scholar's academic strengths and areas for growth, allowing us to provide targeted instruction and support throughout the school year.
Thank you for your partnership and continued support in your child's education. We look forward to working together to ensure a successful school year for your scholar.
