A Message from Your Principal A Message from Your Principal

Dear Garfield Families,

We absolutely love your children, and one of our top priorities is making sure everyone stays safe at school. There are a few important ways you can help us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students and staff:

  • Kindergarten Gates – Please help us by keeping the kindergarten gates closed at all times. This ensures our youngest students stay safely within the playground area and away from the drive-through and Nees Ave..
  • Drive-Through Safety – Feel free to use the drive-through lane for student drop-off, but kindly do not park or leave your vehicle unattended in this zone.
  • Parking Options – We are so thankful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (on the corner of Peach and Nees) for generously allowing our school community to use their parking lot for drop-off and pick-up. Visitor spaces in Garfield’s main lot are very limited, so please avoid parking in staff-designated spots or along red-painted curbs.
  • Morning Drop-Off Etiquette – We love greeting you in the mornings! Students may hang their backpacks outside their classrooms before heading to the blacktop/playground until the bell rings at 7:55 a.m. We kindly ask that, after saying goodbye, families do not remain on the blacktop/playground. Our staff is on yard duty every morning to help ensure students are safe and supported.

We hope this information is helpful! If you have any questions or ideas to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out: methineebozeman@cusd.com

With gratitude,
Methinee Bozeman

Items Dropped Off at School Items Dropped Off at School

When dropping off an item for your student at school, you may leave it on the table outside the office. Please be sure it is labeled with your student's name and room number, then email your student's teacher to relay the message. We are unable to accept cash for your child, cell phones, or anything valuable in the office. Items left are not monitored and are not delivered to classrooms.
