SUPERINTENDENTS UPDATE
Greetings EHT!
We have reached the final month of the 2022-23 school year. We hope that you have had a wonderful educational experience in our Egg Harbor School District. Our faculty and staff have put their best efforts into embracing, engaging, and educating our students. This year was full of many great accomplishments and rewarding experiences, all of which bring us #EHTPride!
This month we will celebrate accomplishment with moving up celebrations, award nights, and high school commencement exercises. Our students have worked hard to meet personal and district goals and achieve greatness. June 19, 20, and 21 will be half days of school for students and the last day of school for all students and staff will be June 21, 2023. We will also be holding orientations for transitioning students. Your child’s school will share those important dates.
Please note that we will be holding summer programs beginning in July that include educational experiences. These include Extended School Year, EHT Ready, ELL Ready, ASPIRE, TALONS, Young Engineers, Aviation Camp, and Athletic Camps. Please see our website to inquire about a relevant program for your child.
Thank you for being a partner with us this year. We believe that a parent-school partnership is the ultimate way to fully educate a student. We are here to listen, learn, and provide your child with the best education possible. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns as we will be working over the summer to review and create programs/initiatives to provide outstanding and relevant learning experiences for the upcoming school year. Our school district is proud to institute best practices PK-12 as we work everyday to be the best that we can be!
Enjoy this month of June!
With #EHTPride,
Dr. Gruccio

CLIMATE, CULTURE & #EHTPride
We are dedicated to learning together, growing together, and healing together within a positive school climate. Celebrations of recognition and reward for achievement, even the littlest steps, will occur in all of our schools as we value the importance of appreciation and respect. We have a lot of #EHTPride in taking care of our students and showcasing their achievements.
We are committed to setting a foundation of culture in our school that includes respect for diversity, inclusion and equity for ALL students and staff. To empower our school community to be positive, supportive, patient, and understanding. To unify all members around one central goal that includes nurturing a strong culture that allows students, teachers, staff, and community members to flourish as individuals and as a community.
With Every Hand Together, Every child, Everyday is provided a relevant learning experience. Our teachers collaborate in professional learning communities to review student progress in order to provide ALL students with the opportunity to learn at high levels. We know that in order to successfully educate each student, we must be cognizant of each student’s individual learning needs. This can only be accomplished if we work together to eliminate any predictability of achievement disparities by race, ethnicity, gender, language, disability, and/or economics. All faculty and staff participated in equity training during our professional learning days. Together, we can achieve more!

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
While our society is surely forever changed by the pandemic, we will make our current focus on restoring our community partnerships as well as expanding our partnerships throughout the township. Our community partners can have an important role in educating our students by sharing their experiences, responsibilities, and/or contributions to society, and by embracing our students and educational programs into their arena. We need each other to foster a better community. A community that is unified and committed to preparing students for the future.
