Mustang Minute

Hello Morse Families,

It was great to return to our regular routine this week after the cold weather and the shortened days at the end of the semester. With that, our first semester is officially complete! Report cards will be released in PowerSchool on Tuesday, 3/4 at 12:00 PM (please see the directions linked below for access).

We have also wrapped up our winter testing season, including our new NWEA Math assessment—more information about this will be shared soon. Following testing, our staff met in grade-level teams alongside support staff to review student data and plan targeted small-group instruction and additional student supports.

We are excited to carry this positive momentum forward as we begin the second semester!

School of Character Update

Over the past two years, our staff and students have worked hard to implement a variety of Schools of Character initiatives. These include identifying our core values, developing lessons aligned to those values, participating in school and community service projects, and expanding student leadership opportunities through our Student Ambassador Program, just to name a few.

In November, we submitted our Schools of Character application and were awarded “Emerging” status. While we were hopeful to be recognized as a State School of Character on our first attempt, we are encouraged by the detailed, actionable feedback we received. This feedback will help guide our next steps as we continue strengthening our program, efforts, and overall school culture. We are confident that we will receive this recognition in the near future.

School Lunch Update

Our Food Service Department is excited to pilot Tasty Treat Wednesdays with school lunches. These special treats will be offered only on Wednesdays and are included as part of the school lunch for the day. Please note that these items are not available for individual purchase.
