We are so proud of all of our UIL students, coaches, and coordinators.

PROSPER ROBOTICS BRINGS HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP
This past weekend, the Prosper FRC Robotics teams 5411 RoboTalons, 9105 TechnoTalons, and 9492 LadyTalons traveled to Plano, TX to compete against 28 other teams from Texas and New Mexico at our first district event for the Reefscape season, which started on January 4, 2025.
For the past 9 weeks, the Talons worked through the entire engineering design process to create an advanced control system from scratch! Unlike most teams in Texas, not only did we build just one robot but THREE! At the end of the day, the students achieved something we have never done before, win a district event, not once but TWICE! It was a long weekend full of qualification matches which ended with all three of our teams qualifying for the playoffs. At the end, both the RoboTalons and TechnoTalons formed an alliance with one another and earned their spot in the final match against top teams who have competed and won at the international level. At the end of the day, the Talons' passion, hard work, and teamwork gave them the power to defeat these top teams, winning the whole competition with the highest score in the playoffs!
But FRC is not just about building spectacular robots, it's all about using robots to build amazing leaders and advocates for STEM. Not only did our robots come on top, so did our awards teams with the RoboTalons winning the Engineering Inspiration Award, which is the second most prestigious award any team is given. It encompasses the team's efforts to be true ambassadors to FIRST's mission of spreading the passion of STEM to our communities. The following students qualified to interview for this award at the State competition in Houston, TX on Apr. 2-5, 2025:
Anshul Ohja (PHS)
