LATEST UPDATES

We will have weekly updates on progress and celebrations on the More Than a Field project. The Raymond Central Community Foundation is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization ran by volunteers. This is a separate entity from Raymond Central Public Schools.

New News

  • We have received multiple commitments for our windscreens and will be making progress towards construction as we move beyond graduation and into the summer. Those businesses include: James Arthur, Swenson Management, Saunders Health, Mackovicka Physical Therapy.
  • Thank you to the large group so students and parents that came out to help install another 2000 feet of silt fence and over 200 T Posts. This will help with erosion as we establish vegetation on the area.
  • Oats have been drilled over the entire area and are starting to grow.
  • The donor tile wall will be completed later this summer and installed at the entrance of the new facility. Thank you to all that donated last Summer. If you are wanting to get your name on a tile there is still time.

Old News

  • A Windscreen Fundraiser is a great option for businesses to show support by advertising their businesses in different parts of the new field along the fence lines and back stop. 7 years of committed payments gets a business 10 years of signage. Payments are annual, not a full lump sum up front. Click on this LINK for more information. Have a business that may be interested in this option? Let us know!
  • The school board approved a lease purchase option for this project. TO BE CLEAR, this lease purchase is not to fund the project by the school. It allows our foundation to extend donations and sponsorships over the course over a few years. This allows us to have a business commit to a total amount and spread the payments over 3-5 years. The FOUNDATION is responsible for the payments on the lease purchase and ONLY funds that have a contract will be allowed to be drawn. The total lease purchase amount may not ever get used. This gives the foundation flexibility to move forward with the project and allow sponsors to spread payments over a few years.
  • Phase 1 of the project is still being funded without the use of taxpayer dollars. We are very proud of this fact.
  • We will be sending out information over the next couple of months to get commitments and interest from local individuals and businesses that would like to be part of the construction process by utilizing In-Kind work to help accomplish our goal.
  • We have received SIX Corporate Naming Rights Sponsorships as well as FOUR corporate agreements for In-Kind and monetary support. We currently have raised OVER $650K from Donations, Sponsorships and In-Kind work.

Next Steps:

  • Begin installation Phase 1 beginning potentially in May.
  • Working with businesses for monetary donations, like-kind donations, sponsorships
  • Develop Corporate Naming Rights agreements for different areas of Phase 1
