Lost and Found Lost and Found

We already have a quite a few items in our Lost and Found. If your student is missing things, check the lost and found for them.

To help us (and you) out, please clearly label items that your student brings to school, especially lunch boxes, water bottles, hoodies, sweaters, and jackets with your student's FIRST INITIAL and LAST NAME so that we can help return the item to your student if they do misplace anything. We sort lost and found items weekly, returning items that are clearly labeled and donating anything left over two weeks.

🎨 A Trip to the Cherry Creek Art Festival! 🎨 A Trip to the Cherry Creek Art Festival!

Some of our lucky Lone Tree Lions had the incredible opportunity to become real art buyers this summer! 🦁🎨

Through a grant-writing opportunity, Lone Tree was selected to participate in the Cherry Creek Arts Festival Art Buying Program—a truly special experience that brought the world of professional art right to our students. The students who participated were selected through our Mane Event fundraising opportunity.

On a busy (and VERY hot!) July day, we met at the festival and spent the day exploring together. Students had the chance to meet real artists, ask questions about their work, discuss and evaluate artwork, and collaborate as a team to decide which pieces would be the best fit for our school.

And it wasn't just window shopping! Our students helped make the decisions and even got to practice a little art-world wheeling and dealing as they worked with artists to stay within our budget. They experienced firsthand how artists price and sell their work—and how much thought goes into choosing artwork for a community space.

We had such a wonderful time exploring, talking, laughing, and making decisions together. Most importantly, our students learned that art isn't just something we make in the art room—it is something we can experience, discuss, collect, and bring into the world around us.

We hope that the next time you visit our school, you'll take a moment to enjoy the artwork our students helped choose. It belongs to our whole school community! ❤️🎨
