7th Science Fair
This week our seventh graders worked on their science projects for their mini-science fair. They started printing out their information and pasting it on to their trifold displays. Students picked their own topics and researched and tested their theories. Also, some even built their own inventions. Students were allowed to do the same topics as friends if they wanted to bounce ideas back and forth. The students have known about this project since December. Some started then and some started a month or two ago. (written by journalism students: Kinze Ernst and Lyla Schipper)
"Save Hamlet"
Last weekend, 37 students took to the stage, the catwalks, sound board, light booth, and backstage to present our spring production, "Save Hamlet". For many, it was their first school play. We are so incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, passion and talent that they shared with their audience. We thank the community for supporting them in stepping out of their comfort zone, sharing their individual creative expression, and finding something they enjoy with people that value their contributions.
DMS Service Day 2025
We had a beautiful day for our annual Service Day yesterday! Each Bobcat Time class came up with a project or activity that they chose to better or to serve our community and school! A special thank you to all of the hard work that was put in by Mr. Davidson and his Leadership class students, as well as the entire staff and all of our amazing students that came together to make this happen! Drexler and the entire Western Dubuque community is truly a special place to be!

Instructional Coach's Corner – Learning to the Last Day!
With just 17 days left in the school year, it's hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by! This season is full of energy, reflection, and anticipation. At Drexler, we’re so proud of the growth we’ve seen in our students—academically, socially, and personally.
Our focus remains on meaningful learning and finishing strong. This final stretch is a great opportunity for students to apply the skills they’ve built all year—perseverance, problem-solving, thinking critically, and communicating clearly. Every day still holds opportunities for growth.
Parents, your continued encouragement at home makes a difference. Help your student stay engaged by asking about what they’re learning, setting goals together, and celebrating small academic wins. Let’s use these final days to celebrate progress, encourage kindness, and make the most of every moment. Whether it’s completing that final project, helping a classmate, or showing gratitude to a teacher.
At Drexler, we believe learning doesn’t stop just because the calendar is winding down. Let’s make everyday count!
