Confirmation
Congratulations to our Sixth Class pupils who made their Confirmation last Friday! You all looked fantastic, and it was a truly lovely ceremony. A special thank you to Ms Fitzgerald for preparing the children so well for this sacrament, and to Father Vincent and Bishop Deenihan for leading such a meaningful celebration.
A huge thank you also to Jane and all the children in the choir—your beautiful singing added so much to the occasion and made it even more special.
Finally, a big thank you to the parents who prepared baked goods for the celebrations and to Parents’ Association of Dangan and Coole for putting on such a wonderful spread of baked goods and treats at Coole Hall. It was very well received, and we are so lucky to have your support for this occasion.
Well done to everyone involved!

PANCAKES/BATTER DONATIONS
To help with a quicker turnaround on the day, we would really appreciate if some parents could pre-make pancakes at home and send them into school Tuesday morning if possible (simple recipe below for anyone who wishes to use it).
Equally, if anyone would like to donate some batter, please make it up and pop it into a plastic 2L or 1L milk container. This makes for easier pouring & making of the pancakes on the day.
We would kindly ask for you NOT to send in the bottles of pancake mix as they are really hard to use and do not mix well (photo attached for reference).
🙏Thank you all so much in advance for your generosity and support for this event 😊
PA Class Whatsapp Groups
Class WhatsApp groups are a very useful and efficient way of communicating with the whole class.
The aim of using WhatsApp is to send messages to the entire group which are relevant to class/school.
The messages in the class WhatsApp groups come from parents in their personal capacity or are sent on behalf of the Parents’ Association.
The School neither sends nor monitors messages on WhatsApp. To ensure that these groups remain a positive space for all, the Parents Association will be updating the guidelines for each class group.
Brief guidelines will be added to each WhatsApp Group, and a full code of conduct will be uploaded to the school website in March.
WhatsApp GUIDELINES:
The messages in the class WhatsApp groups come from parents in their personal capacity or are sent on behalf of the Parents’ Association.
The school neither sends nor monitors messages on WhatsApp.
The Parents’ Association would appreciate it if parents would note the following guidelines when using class WhatsApp groups.
1. Comply with the PA Code of Conduct Policy (available at www.dangannationalschool.ie)
2. Always be respectful in language and tone.
3. The group should never be used as a platform to air views/grievances regarding a teacher,
child, or parent in the class or school.
4. The group should not be used for private conversations with anyone else using the group.

Mini 7s
Hard luck to the boys' Mini 7s team who put in a great effort last Tuesday at Drumree GAA . They had two strong wins against Scoil Na Rithe and Culmullen but were defeated by Kilbride in their final game. Hard luck – you should be proud of your performance!
The girls' Mini 7s team had a similar experience last Friday at Moynalvey GAA, securing two great wins against Kiltale and Culmullen before narrowly losing by a single point to Moynalvey in their final match. Hard luck, girls – you played brilliantly, and it was a very close game!
