🐾 A Message From Principal Ohmer 🐾 🐾 A Message From Principal Ohmer 🐾

Dear LSG Families,

As we wrap up the 2024–2025 school year, I want to take a moment to say thank you for being such a vital part of our school community. It’s been a year full of learning, laughter, and growth, and we couldn’t have done it without your support.

Our students have shown incredible progress—not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. From their curiosity in the classroom to their kindness on the playground, they’ve made us proud every step of the way. We’ve also enjoyed so many wonderful moments together, from class celebrations and field trips to school spirit days and family events.

I’m deeply grateful to our amazing teachers and staff who bring energy, creativity, and care into everything they do. And to you—our parents and caregivers—thank you for your encouragement, involvement, and partnership throughout the year.

To our fifth graders moving on to middle school: we are so proud of you! You’re leaving LSG on a high note—currently exceeding both the district and state averages on your FAST science scores. What an incredible accomplishment! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do next. For everyone else, we can’t wait to see you back in August for another fun and inspiring year.

As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing PTA President, Elaina Embree. Her dedication, leadership, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on our school community. From organizing events to championing new initiatives, Elaina has gone above and beyond to support our students, staff, and families. On behalf of the entire school, thank you for your service and commitment — you will be greatly missed, and your legacy will be felt for years to come.

Wishing you and your family a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer!

With gratitude,
Angela Ohmer
Principal, Lake St. George Elementary

Meet Karson Brown, PTA President 2025-26

A little bit about me: My family and I are new to Florida, having recently moved here in July 2024. My husband, Tate—who is a CPA—and I have two spectacular girls: Eisley, who is in third grade, and our newest little Wildcat, Arlowe, who is in kindergarten. I am a corporate/commercial interior designer and project manager by trade, although I’ve taken a break in recent years to be more present with my girls.

We’re new to Florida, to Palm Harbor, and to Lake St. George Elementary—newbies, no doubt about it! But with that newness comes a fresh perspective and a genuine excitement about opportunities for inclusion, collaboration, and community spirit. I’m passionate about supporting our teachers, staff, and administration to ensure that every child’s time at LSG is memorable and fulfilling.

In my professional life, I’ve served on multiple boards in the design industry, working with professionals of all levels and backgrounds for over a decade. As a parent, I’ve been actively involved at my daughters’ schools. I served as a room parent for two years at Eisley’s previous school, where I coordinated directly with teachers and PTA liaisons to plan events, manage budgets, communicate with parents, and organize volunteers.

Since joining the LSG community, I’ve jumped right in—volunteering in kindergarten classrooms, assisting with the ā€œTardy Party,ā€ chaperoning field trips, and saying ā€œyesā€ to any chance to support this incredible Wildcat community. I’m also currently serving as the co-chair of the LSG Student Advisory Council.

From the moment we joined LSG, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness—from teachers and staff, and especially from Principal Ohmer. As PTA President, I want to help extend that same sense of belonging to every child and every parent who walks through our doors. We have a strong, vibrant community with amazing teachers, excited families, and a dedicated group of volunteers. With a fresh outlook and a spirit of collaboration, I believe we can make our Wildcat community even stronger.

I am honored to bring new energy and ideas to Lake St. George as your PTA President.

🐾 Wildcat Staff Spotlight 🐾 Dawn Crouch 🐾

We are proud to celebrate Dawn Crouch, a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional who has been a valued member of the LSG family for the past three years. Each day, she brings warmth, positivity, and unwavering support to our special needs classrooms. You will often see her working one-on-one with a special student around campus, providing individualized support and encouragement. Her presence is a constant source of reassurance for the students and an inspiration to her colleagues. In addition to her work in the classroom, Dawn is a familiar and friendly face at the East End walker gate after school, ensuring that students are safely reunited with their families. We’re also proud to share that Dawn is a proud LSG parent—her 2 daughters are Wildcats too! Her deep connection to our school community, both as a staff member and parent, is part of what makes her presence here so special.

🧃 At LSG, we follow the district wellness policy when celebrating birthdays in the classroom šŸŠ

This means any snacks/beverages brought in must meet the PCS Nutrition Standards, which set guidelines on sugar, fat, sodium, and calories. These standards help us create a healthy learning environment and support lifelong habits of nutritious eating.

If you're planning to send in a birthday treat, please make sure it aligns with the district’s wellness guidelines. You can review the healthy snack list by clicking on "The Wellness Apple".

Thank you for helping us keep our students healthy and energized!
