Students will be making their own games!

3rd Grade Math is the Topic

Creating board games is a fun and easy way for students to show what they’ve learned. This project will be used as an enrichment for students and to review. The possibilities are endless for what students can create with this project! Students may use bought materials, materials from home, or each student is provided a file folder. Instructions and papers will be sent home with students on Monday. The instructions are listed below.

We are doing a project in 3rd grade which requires every student to have a toilet paper tube. We need roughly 100. If you all could save and bring in your tubes, I know the 3rd graders would be very grateful. We will collect until Tuesday, May 7th.

Here are tips to keep your student ready for a full day at school!

We have started 3rd grade off on the right foot! Keep it up! Here are somethings we noticed from the students so far:

  • Students are ready for this school year.
  • Not sleepy and ready to learn! (Very important!)
  • Students know that 3rd grade is going to be different (they know we are expecting a lot from them this year, 2nd grade teachers did a good job explaining that)
  • Students are wearing the correct uniforms, so only a few hoodies.
  • A lot of smiling faces :)
  • Keep it up!

Here are some hints to help your child have a smooth school year:

  • Chromebooks must be brought to school everyday, and charged. There will be consequences next month if students do not have charged Chromebooks.
  • Make sure your child knows their bus number or how they are getting home with a note
  • Be on time. School is from 8:00 to 3:00

  • Have their name on their belongings (backpack, pencil box, chromebook, notebooks)

  • Breakfast is served from 8:00-8:15 am

  • Make sure your student has a good night sleep and ready to work!

  • Students bringing lunch, please make sure it is a complete healthy lunch.

Reminders Reminders

  • Students may bring in a water bottle or a personal water bottle. Only water.

  • Call the office for transportation changes and attendance

  • Make sure you are checking your student’s behavior sheet for behavior.

  • Check your student’s green folder for work and handouts from the office

  • If you are not signed up for REMIND, please ask us how!

No Hoods

  • Please send your student in with a sweater/single color sweatshirt if they are cold in school. No hoods/hoodies may be worn during school. Hoods tucked in will not be allowed.

Birthdays Birthdays

(From the Parent/Student Handbook) Classroom teachers recognize birthdays and celebrate special events/activities. Food items/treats for the entire class are not permitted. In addition, parents are asked to refrain from sending balloons, flowers, etc. These items are not permitted on the school bus and disrupt the learning environment. Cards and invitations may not be distributed at school unless every girl/boy in the class receives one. Consistency in recognizing these special events is essential to ensure that every child feels honored and valued.
