We have an exciting week next week with our first ever Homecoming Motor Mum competition on Friday 9/26 (see flyer below) and our Homecoming Dance on Saturday 9/27. We will also start our club rotation on Monday 9/20 so please make sure you have completed the parent consent forms for all clubs your child wants to participate in. Important Information for All Grade Levels
Club Approval and Selection (Please Complete)
Students need to complete this Google form to select their approved clubs and activities for Titan Time. Parents need to complete this form for each club their child wants to participate in. Students are not allowed to participate in a club until parent consent is received. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Parents: Please note that you must submit an approval form for each club you approve your child to participate in.

Homecoming Motor Mums & Competition
Freedom Week video features Academy students!
Each year, during the week that includes September 17, Texas schools are required to honor Celebrate Freedom Week (TEC § 29.907 & RULE §74.33 of the Texas Administrative Code) in order to highlight the values and ideals on which the United States was founded, as well as the sacrifices that were made for freedom in the founding of the country. Students learn about the intent, meaning, and importance of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. Students also examine the relationship between the ideas in these documents and subsequent American history. The overall objective is for students to understand how freedom continued to expand under the protection of the Constitution.
In Plano ISD, we have a tradition in which we allow our amazing students to participate in the creation of a video which highlights the key features of this required instruction. This video should be shared with students throughout the district on September 17 within social studies classes or during social studies class time. Teachers and teams are also encouraged to plan enrichment opportunities related to this topic throughout the week as appropriate.

We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s success this school year. Our fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 4, and we invite you to schedule a time to meet with your student’s teachers.
Conferences may be scheduled as in-person or virtual, depending on what works best for your family.
Conferences are a valuable opportunity to:
• Discuss your student’s academic progress
• Learn more about classroom expectations
• Collaborate on strategies to support continued growth
We encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are unable to attend on November 4, please reach out directly to your student’s teachers to explore alternative arrangements.
