📆Clarification of Calendar Update📆
As shared in the Superintendent's message last evening, the last day of school for students will be Friday, June 26. This will be a full day of school.
Dear DMS Families,
We are so proud of our Special Olympians who competed today at Dartmouth High School. We are so proud of our Special Olympians, who truly embodied courage, perseverance, unity, joy, friendship, respect, and acceptance. Through their determination, sportsmanship, and support for one another, they reminded us all of the power of inclusion and the importance of celebrating every individual’s strengths and achievements. They represented our school community with pride and heart, and we celebrate all they accomplished both on and off the field.
Our seventh-grade students also had the opportunity to participate in the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School CTE Roadshow. During the presentation, students were introduced to the wide range of Career and Technical Education programs available at DRRHS. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and excitement as they explored the many opportunities the high school has to offer. The experience truly highlighted that DRRHS provides pathways and programs to meet a variety of student interests and strengths, and our students left with a greater understanding of those possibilities. Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School truly has something for every student.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the school year. I hope everyone enjoys a relaxing weekend and has a wonderful week ahead!
Warmly,
Dr. Cheryl Leandro, Principal cleandro@drregional.org

🚍🚍 BUS SAFETY REMINDERS FOR ALL FAMILIES 🚍🚍
A reminder for all members of the Dighton-Rehoboth community of the critical importance of stopping for school buses.
This week, a family reported a serious safety concern in which a vehicle illegally passed a stopped school bus while a student was actively boarding. The bus’s red lights were flashing and the stop-arm was extended, and the student was in the stairwell at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no one was injured, but this situation highlights a very real and dangerous risk for our students.
Passing a stopped school bus is not only illegal, it puts children in immediate danger. Students boarding and exiting buses are among the most vulnerable pedestrians on our roadways, and they rely on all drivers to follow the law and exercise caution.
We ask all drivers, parents, guardians, students, and community members, to:
Stop completely when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop-arm extended, regardless of direction of travel (unless on a divided highway with a physical median).
Be alert in school zones and residential areas, especially during morning and afternoon bus routes.
Model safe and responsible driving behavior for our students.
Ensuring the safety of our children is a shared responsibility. We appreciate your partnership in helping keep every student safe on their way to and from school. Thank you for keeping our community safe.

As we plan for the upcoming school year, we want to share information about our Enhanced Math placement process for students entering Grade 7. Our goal is to place each student in a learning environment that supports their current skills while providing the right level of challenge, with Enhanced Math designed for students ready for a faster-paced, more rigorous experience. Placement decisions are based on multiple measures, including classroom performance, teacher recommendations, MCAS, and district benchmarks, and reflect a comprehensive view of each student’s readiness, not a single score. Students in Enhanced Math will engage with grade-level and above-grade-level content with a deeper understanding and accelerated pace, requiring strong study habits, organization, and perseverance. If you have questions or would like to discuss your child’s placement, please reach out, we value our partnership and are committed to shaping every student's success.
Your math teacher will provide you with more information.
