Marietta City Schools has a partner that has donated thousands of dollars to MCS for Lunch Angels, food pantries, and other food-related needs. She recently approached Marietta City Schools and offered to match whatever we can raise through monthly food drives.

The plan:

• On the first Friday of every month, students will be invited to bring canned/non-perishable goods.
• Each school will be given a bin, and the central office will arrange for pickup.
• Our partner will match donations from all MCS schools.
• The food will go to MCS families in need.
• One Can per One Student will equal over 530 cans a month. This benefits our entire community!

Las Escuelas de la Ciudad de Marietta tienen un socio que ha donado miles de dólares a MCS para Lunch Angels, despensas de alimentos y otras necesidades alimentarias. Recientemente, se puso en contacto con las Escuelas de la Ciudad de Marietta y se ofreció a igualar la cantidad que podamos recaudar mediante las campañas mensuales de recolección de alimentos.

El plan:

• El primer viernes de cada mes, se invitará a los estudiantes a traer alimentos enlatados/no perecederos.
• Cada escuela recibirá un contenedor y la oficina central se encargará de la recogida.
• Nuestro socio igualará las donaciones de todas las escuelas de MCS.

• Una lata por estudiante equivale a más de 530 latas al mes. Esto beneficia a toda nuestra comunidad.

Dear Parents,

During Conference Week, October 13-17, school will be dismissed at 1:15 PM. During this week, the After School Program (ASP) will be available to support your family's needs, however, it requires separate registration, even if your student is already enrolled in traditional ASP. The fee for the week is $75, regardless of the number of days your student attends.

To secure your spot, please register your student as soon as possible. Registration is now open and can be completed at the following link: ASP for Conference Week Registration.

The OLA Language School is offering FREE English classes for all Marietta City families (adults)! This is an exciting opportunity because it is open to all families, not just those with students in the ESOL program. Space is limited, and please note that child care will not be provided.

Keeping illness out of the school is one of the best defenses for all types of sickness. If your son or daughter is ill, please keep them home. This allows your child to recover and prevent others from becoming sick.

If your child stays home for more than 48 hours due to an illness, don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's teacher and or Nurse Nicole. Our school nurse is here for guidance and support.
