Dear Morris Elementary Families,

It’s hard to believe we’ve arrived at the month of May!

First and foremost, on behalf of our staff, I want to take a moment to say "Thank You". Your partnership and support have made a meaningful difference in the success of our students. We truly appreciate all that you do to help your child come to school ready to learn each day.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, our staff is continuing to work hard to keep students motivated and engaged. Learning is still in full swing, and teachers continue to work diligently with their students! You may hear about end-of-year projects, special visitors, and opportunities for students to showcase all they’ve accomplished - we are so proud of their hard work!

May also brings some of the most exciting moments of the year! Students can look forward to field trips, special classroom activities, and our much-anticipated Field Day. These experiences not only create fun memories, but also help build friendships that last a lifetime.

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need support. We are grateful to partner with you and are committed to making these final weeks of school meaningful and memorable for every student.

On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, we held our 8th school-wide PBIS assembly of the 2025-2026 school year and staff members handed out awards to students who have done a wonderful job of displaying Bondurant’s BEST/T - Take Responsibility! Below are #MorrisJays students who received an award – way to go!

We are looking forward to an exciting Elementary Field Day coming up soon at Morris Elementary. This is always a special time for our students to enjoy outdoor activities, build friendships, and celebrate the end of the school year together. Our Field Days are scheduled for May 19 (Kindergarten), May 20 (First Grade), and May 21 (2nd Grade).

This year will look a little different than in recent years, with Field Day taking place in the grassy area in front of Morris Elementary. Due to limited parking and space constraints in that area, we will not be able to accommodate parents or visitors during the event. We understand that this may be disappointing, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure a safe and organized experience for all students.

Please know that our staff is committed to making this a fun, memorable day for every child. We will be sure to capture and share highlights so you can still feel connected to the day’s events.
