A Message from Our Principal
Dear Farnham Families,
It’s been a busy week at Farnham and we are not slowing down! We are officially over halfway through the school year, and it has been wonderful to reflect on how much our students have grown already this year.
Our Fifth Graders returned from Science Camp and have been excitedly sharing their favorite moments from the week. From outdoor adventures to hands-on learning and strong connections with peers, it was truly a memorable experience.
This week, our First Graders enjoyed an in-house field trip with the Lawrence Hall of Science, filled with engaging, hands-on science learning that sparked curiosity and excitement. In addition, our Fourth and Fifth Grade students participated in an assembly to kick off the Science Fair, setting the stage for inquiry, creativity, and scientific thinking.
Our Falcons are also loving their time with Mr. Tony in Theatre Arts, and students visited the Falcon Fab Lab, where they were presented with grade-level design challenges that sparked creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Looking ahead, we will be celebrating the 100th Day of School next week, and we can’t wait to see our Kindergarten students’ creative collections of 100 things! This is always such a joyful milestone!
We are also excited to welcome prospective families during another school tour next week, and we will also be participating in the Great Kindness Challenge, where our entire school community will focus on intentional acts of kindness and compassion toward others.
Please be sure to mark your calendars for two special events on Friday, January 30th:
Principal Coffee in the Library following Morning Assembly – a great opportunity to learn more about what’s happening at Farnham and across the Cambrian School District.
Family Movie Night that evening! Doors open at 5:00 PM, and Bad Guys 2 begins at 5:30 PM. Our Pop-Up Book Fair will also be open during that time in the Library!
Thank you for your continued partnership and for being such an important part of our Farnham community. We look forward to another meaningful week together where we solve problems, make good decisions, and show respect.
Be well,
Amy O'Hehir
Farnham Principal

CEF Read-a-thon
Cambrian Read-a-thon Is Underway!
A huge thank you to the families and community members who have already supported this year’s Read-a-thon—we’ve raised over $9,500 so far!
Students across TK–8 are reading to support mental health and social-emotional learning programs in our schools, with a district goal of $60,000. Participation is easy and flexible—fundraising is optional, and all awards are based on reading minutes.
Let’s keep the momentum going!
Register at www.getmovinfundhub.com using school code 655760c422c18, get ready to log reading minutes starting February 2nd, and share your student’s page if you’d like to invite support.

Attendance Recovery Day - 02.18.2026
Attendance recovery is a program that gives students the opportunity to make up missed instructional time. It also reduces the district’s loss of funding caused by student absences
When a student attends attendance recovery, it does not change their attendance records but it does help to create a positive school to home relationship where children’s well being is supported and valued.
The Cambrian School District has planned a fun academic day on February , 8:15am- 12:30pm at Fammatre Elementary School for students K-8. Students can come have fun and learn while they make up for their absences.
