Happy Monday Magi Families

On Friday, I enjoyed being a guest reader in celebration of March, which is Reading Month. It was truly heartwarming to see the excitement and curiosity on the faces of our students as we explored the pages of a book together. I am so grateful to all of the guest readers who came out to volunteer their time at Colon Elementary School. The book I shared with our students emphasized the importance of kindness, bravery, and kindness in the face of adversity. It's essential that we work together to model these values in our students, nurturing not only their academic growth but also their character development. While I am writing about literacy, I'm proud to share that our dedication to support systems has significantly increased reading scores. This progress is due to the hard work of our educators, the support of our families, and the determination of our students.

As we all anticipate the arrival of spring, let us carry the lessons of kindness and bravery into the new season. Just as nature begins to awaken, let us continue to nurture a love for literacy and foster a community where kindness and bravery thrive. Thank you for continuing to support our team as we work to inspire lifelong learners and compassionate citizens. Wishing you, your families, and all members of our community a truly magical week ahead.

Warm regards,

Mrs. Kowalski
