The MuraskiTribune: Issue 1Back to School Information

Attention Muraski Families

Good Morning Muraski Families,

This is the first official Muraski Tribune, signaling the start of a new school year. Although it is always difficult to get back in school mode, I am thankful that I have some time to enjoy making memories with my family; we hiked, biked, canoed, swam, and even frequented some of the local concerts at Strongsville park. With that said, I am excited and ready to start the 25-26 school year with you all.

We hope you had a wonderful summer filled with amazing moments and quality time with family and friends. As we prepare to welcome our students and families back for a new school year, we’re excited to embark on fresh learning adventures together. Please take a look at the information below, as there are important dates and items to be aware of.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Sincerely,

Mike Griffen

Principal of Muraski Elementary

Below is a flier with information related to NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION. This is ONLY for families that are new to Muraski, who should have received an additional invite in the mail. This is not for Kindergarten families, as they will have the opportunity to visit the building on orientation day or families who have previously attended Muraski Elementary.

CLASS LISTS POSTED CLASS LISTS POSTED

Class lists will be available through Power School on Monday, August 11th. This is how you will identify who will be your child's homeroom teacher.

  • In grades K-3 students will receive all of their core instruction with their homeroom teacher.
  • In Grade 4, your child will be on one of two teams, Mrs. Tedeschi (Math & SS) & Ms. Dudra (ELA & Science) or Mrs. Cipriani (Math & SS) & Ms. Brush (ELA & SS).
  • In Grade 5, your child will have a homeroom teacher, but they will see all three teachers for their core subjects, Mrs. Herron (ELA), Mrs. Laub (Math), and Mrs. Pasko (Science & SS).

Open House & Supply Drop - Grades 1-5 Open House & Supply Drop - Grades 1-5

Below, you will see a flier inviting ALL families with students in grades 1-5 to a supply drop and open house at Muraski on Wednesday, August 13th. We ask that you try to adhere to the times slated based on your last name, as parking is limited at our building.

Sensory Friendly Option

This year, we are excited to offer an option for students and families who would benefit from a sensory friendly environment for the supply drop which will be held from 4:30-5:00. This is designed for those students/families to have an environment that is more calm and more quiet with less people in the hallways and classrooms at the time of drop off. Please only use this option if it is beneficial and necessary for your child and/or family.

Nurse Availability

A district nurse will be at our building during the Open House/Supply Drop for you to drop off medication and fill out necessary paperwork for your child throughout the school year. This includes inhalers, epipens, and other medication or supplies that will be administered throughout the year.
