REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Acworth Horizon Spring Baseball League

The Horizon League provides children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic events, develop lasting relationships among their peers, coaches, and parents, and demonstrate to them that they are an important part of their community by creating an environment of inclusion for both the participants and their families.

Every effort is made to return players to their prior team. However, teams will have a player limit and team placement is based on a first-come, first-serve. Limited Buddies will be provided. Special requests can only be considered based on available space on a team before Wednesday, March 20.

The SC classes use an adapted curriculum called enCore! There are a total of 36 units, and those units are banded by grade levels. All of our classes have multiple grade levels. Due to this, some classes might use two units simultaneously. For example, a class might use a unit for kindergarten through second and a different unit for grades third through fifth. Each unit consist of an adapted fiction book and an adapted nonfiction book. It takes six weeks to complete one full unit with three weeks per book.
