All students had the opportunity to participate in the Qur’an Competition, where they beautifully recited selected surahs with proper tajweed and makharij. Participants presented their recitations in front of a panel of judges, fellow students, and staff, showcasing their hard work, memorization, and dedication to perfecting their Qur’anic recitation. It was a meaningful and spiritually enriching event for the whole school.

Altitude Trampoline Park
Middle and high school students enjoyed an exciting field trip to Altitude Trampoline Park in Birmingham, where they spent the day jumping, playing, and bonding with friends. It was a fun-filled outing that gave students a chance to relax, stay active, and make great memories outside the classroom.
Imagination Place
Our elementary students took a fun and educational trip to the Imagination Place in Gadsden, where they explored different careers and learned about the world around them through hands-on exhibits and interactive play. It was a great opportunity for young learners to spark their curiosity and imagination in a creative environment.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Middle school students visited the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, where they explored a variety of plants and beautifully maintained gardens. A highlight for many was the Japanese Garden, featuring bamboo groves, traditional architecture, and even a live crane. The trip was both peaceful and educational, offering students a unique glimpse into the beauty of nature and different cultural landscapes.
Fort McClellan Community Gardens
In celebration of Earth Day, our 4th and 5th grade students visited the Fort McClellan Community Gardens. They enjoyed seeing various animals and learning about nature and sustainability. A fun surprise was getting to sit in a kayak—though it wasn’t in the water, it gave students a hands-on feel for outdoor adventure. It was a great day of learning and connecting with the environment!
Student Iftar
To celebrate Ramadan, the SGA hosted a special Student Iftar night where students, teachers, and staff came together to break their fast. Everyone brought a dish to share, creating a warm and welcoming potluck atmosphere. The event also featured a henna booth, a fun photo booth with props, and a trivia game with prizes, adding excitement to the evening. It was a memorable night filled with community, laughter, and the spirit of Ramadan.
Alumni Iftar
This Ramadan, IMSA launched its very first alumni organization with a special Alumni Iftar event. Former students, current staff, and teachers came together to break their fast, reconnect, and share memories. It was a joyful evening filled with great food and meaningful conversations. The alumni group will continue to meet three times a year, helping to strengthen the bond between past and present members of the IMSA community.

Life in the IMSA dorm is more than just a place to stay—it’s a vibrant community where students come together through both social and educational activities. Regular picnics, BBQs, and group outings offer a chance for students to relax, connect with one another, and enjoy quality time with their dorm mentors. These moments create lasting memories and help build strong bonds outside the classroom.
In addition to the fun, dorm life also supports students' spiritual growth. Islamic lessons and open discussions provide a welcoming space for students to ask questions, explore their faith, and deepen their understanding of their religion and the Quran. It’s a meaningful balance of enjoyment and enrichment that makes dorm life a truly unique and rewarding experience.
