MIddlebrook Families,
This weekend, challenge your child to become a Math Detective and discover all the ways math shows up in the world around them! Look for shapes on a walk, estimate how many items are in the grocery cart, measure ingredients while cooking, or notice patterns on buildings, clothing, and signs. Ask your child questions like, “How did you figure that out?” or “Can you think of another way?” to get them talking about their mathematical thinking. You might even keep a family tally of how many examples of math you can spot throughout the weekend. Math is everywhere—sometimes we just have to slow down and look for it!

Middlebrook Attendance for the Week of 10/19-10/23
Friday, October 30th
Halloween is fast approaching and will be celebrated at Middlebrook School on Friday, October 30th. This is a fun time for our students. Kindergarten and First grade students are invited to come to school dressed in costume; while Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth graders can bring a costume that can be put on in their classroom over their clothes.
Please know that costumes are OPTIONAL.... many children chose to wear their regular school clothing on this day. Costumes cannot be violent in nature. Face paint or scary masks such as the “Evil Jester”, “It”, “Grim Reaper”, “Chucky”, “Scream” or any other costumes that contain blood/scars will not be allowed to be worn. No accessories of any kind are allowed.
Thank you for helping us to keep our students safe.
