WEEKLY HAWK

We can't wait to welcome everyone back on Tuesday, January 6th. We know that transitions back are exciting for some and tough for others. With a consistent morning routine and lots of fun planned at school, we know students will get right back into the groove of school.

There are a few new faces at school this semester. We would like to welcome Geniella, who will serve as our school librarian, Claudia, who is now both a staff member at Hawks Nest as well as our 4/5 instructional paraeducator, and Cara who will be supporting our multilingual learners. We are so excited to have more amazing people join this wonderful staff.

I look forward to all the growth and excitement that 2026 is sure to bring!

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to thank our wonderful Homestead community. I am so appreciative of everyone who has given their time, donated materials, and offered words of support and encouragement. Our Homestead artists are thriving because of your support! It really does take a village, and I am honored to have a part in each of your children's journeys.

Colorado legislation has prompted greater need to screen and document volunteers in our schools. As of January 2022, we began asking every volunteer to complete a brief application to support activities in CCSD schools.

If you are currently volunteering or plan to volunteer in the future, please complete the CCSD online volunteer form. To access the form, click on the following link: https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/NzU0OmVuLVVT or scan the QR code. It should only take a few minutes to complete and you will only need to complete this form once a year to meet the requirements to volunteer in all CCSD buildings.

Please note: if you completed this application more than one year ago, it is time to do it again!

The safety and security of our students and staff remains our top priority. Every person entering our buildings must have a badge printed from our Raptor system or a District ID.
