šAugust Recapš
August at Encanto Elementary š¦
What a busy and exciting start to the school year! We kicked off August with a SOAR Assembly featuring a wonderful performance from Ms. Duranās class. Our Attendance King and Queen, Mr. Isaac and Ms. Woods-Tynes, also kicked off our Mr. Potato Head Attendance Challenge! We were so happy to see so many of you at Back to School Night. A huge thank you to our community partners, Hands On San Diego, Life Science Cares, and Quarles Legal Firm, for donating school supplies that were shared with our families that evening. Community support makes such a difference!
Our first Cafecito & Chat with Ms. Clarisa was a full house! We enjoyed spending time together, getting to know one another, and building our school community and one lucky parent even went home with a Food 4 Less gift card! Our first Family Friday was also jam-packed. Our parents are awesome! If you missed it, Ms. Gutierrez reviewed our SOAR expectations. Take a few minutes to discuss them with your child at home. Our little Eagles were also so happy to see their parents visiting classrooms. There were so many smiles all around!
And finally, we are excited to announce that Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Voinov are leading a Student Council this year! Our 3rdā5th graders will have the opportunity to serve as designated class representatives and school leaders. We can't wait to see our Eagles step up, share their voices, and help make Encanto Elementary an even better place!
