Greetings Rincon Community,

Our first Family Day at lunch was held this Friday and it was busier than ever. This is a tradition at Rincon that brings our families onto campus to be a part of our middle school day. We are looking for way to continually improve and personalize this amazing tradition. THANK YOU ALL FOR JOINING US ON FRIDAY. If you didn't get a change to complete the brief survey, please use the QR code or Rincon Family Day at lunch feedback form to provide your valuable input. As a thank you, your student will earn a Bullbuck.

Parent, Teacher, Student Conferences This Week!

Please make sure to join us for this very important conference with your learner. Your partnership is crucial so together we can monitor learner progress, set goals, and plan personalized support because we know that ALL our students can achieve more than they think possible. See the schedule below. We will have some interpreters available but families are encouraged to bring their own.

MATHNASIUM The Math Learning Center at Rincon

Here is a new tutoring program available FREE to you. If your student could benefit, discuss with your teacher to join the interest list.

What are the benefits of sending my child to Mathnasium?
Build their confidence in math, which then unfolds in other areas of their life
Understand math concepts in a way that makes sense to them
Develop a love of learning

What are the commitment expectations?
Each student will attend 2 times a week. The days and times of their sessions will be provided
separately by the school.
We will be providing everything that they will need in the session, including writing materials so no need to bring anything.
Think of Mathnasium like a gym for math—students get out of it what they put in. Consistent attendance is key, so please ensure your child
doesn’t miss a session.

How does it work?
Assess the student’s Math skills
We begin with a thorough math assessment of student’s strengths and areas for growth.

Create a Customized Learning Plan
Using the assessment results, we design a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s unique needs - no two learners are exactly alike. We meet each student where they are and help them build a stronger, deeper understanding of math from there.

Teach for Understanding
Our expert instructors go beyond memorization and rote calculation—they help students truly understand how math works.

Achieve Goals
As students complete their learning plans, we conduct a post-assessment to measure their progress. Students who score at least 85% advance to the next level, where we create a new
personalized learning plan to continue their growth.
Assess the student’s Math skills

Being on Time Matters!

At Rincon, every school day is an opportunity to learn and grow. Our district-wide agreement is that all students are expected to be in class during designated times so they don’t miss valuable instruction.

  • School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

  • We ask families to help ensure students arrive on time every day.
Consistent attendance helps students feel prepared, connected, and successful.

Every day counts—and every minute matters!

Rincon Middle School Tardy Policy

Being on time helps students begin the day prepared and ready to learn. School starts at 8:00am, and students must be inside their classroom when the tardy bell rings. Gates open at 7:40am to allow students time to arrive and settle in.

  • Students who arrive late must check in at the attendance office for a pass and give a reason for their tardy.

  • For every 3 first-period tardies in a week (Mon–Fri, including short weeks), students will follow the progressive discipline plan.

  • Families may be asked to meet with the School Attendance Review Team (SART) if tardies become frequent, so we can create a support plan together.

Our focus is on supporting students and families to build strong routines—because every minute in class matters
