School Climate Survey
October 5th-October 23rd
We value your feedback and encourage you to take a few moments to complete the Duval County Public Schools Climate Survey. Your input helps us improve our school and create the best possible learning environment for all students.
As of October 18, only 6% of our families have completed the survey. In order for Mandarin Middle School to receive the survey results, we must reach a 20% participation rate.
📝 Complete the survey here: https://duvalschools.org/surveys
Thank you for partnering with us to make our school even better.
Week Eleven Inspirational Quote:
“Long term success is a direct result of what you achieve everyday. Goals provide your daily routine.” - Rick Pitino
Our Go for the Gold theme reminds us that excellence is not achieved through a single moment of greatness, but through consistent effort every day. Just as Olympic athletes do not win gold medals overnight, students and staff reach their goals by making intentional choices, staying focused, and striving to improve each day.
Goals provide the roadmap, and our daily actions move us closer to the finish line. Whether it's mastering a new skill, completing assignments, building positive relationships, or supporting one another, every small success contributes to long-term achievement.
As we Go for the Gold, let’s remember that the habits we build today determine the success we celebrate tomorrow. Every day is an opportunity to take one more step toward excellence.
In-School Football Game Reminder
Students who would like to attend the in-school football game on October 20 must turn in a signed permission slip to their 1st period teacher by Monday, October 19. Tickets can be purchased on https://gofan.co/app/school/FL25467.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Mandarin Middle athletic department through this fundraiser. Don't miss out on the fun while supporting our student-athletes!

Don’t Get Them Confused!
Amendment 3 and the Duval County Public Schools 1-mill referendum are two separate items on the November 3 ballot.
🏫 The 1-mill referendum is a continuation of the millage approved by Duval County voters in 2022. It supports school funding, including teacher pay, as well as arts and athletics.
🏠 Amendment 3 is a proposed change to the Florida Constitution addressing property taxes statewide. The amendment excludes school funding.
Take a look at the graphic for a quick side-by-side comparison and visit www.DuvalSchools.org/Vote for more information about the 1-mill referendum.
FortifyFL Link
Please review the link with your child if they are aware of any suspicious activity. The link is a reporting tool that allows anyone to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials. Students can also access the link on their school laptop. Thank you for helping us keep our school safe!
