PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
WELCOME TO THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR!! Last week was a VERY successful first week of school! It was great to see all our students back on campus meeting new friends and eager to learn . I would like to welcome our new staff members---
- Teachers-Caroline Cunha- 3rd grade; Alyssa Dalpez- 4th grade; Stephen Kileen-4th grade
- Para-Professional Room 1- Pat Delage & Taylor Wilson
- Campus Safety Assistant- Brandon McClellan
Our teachers, staff and I are looking forward to partnering with all of our families to ensure all our students grow academically, socially and emotionally.
MORNING ARRIVAL
Below are a few friendly reminders to ensure the safety of our students before school:
- Please say your 'goodbyes' before teachers walk the students into the building. We do not want adults walking in the hallways who have not signed in with the office.
- Students are not to arrive on campus before 8:00am UNLESS they are enrolled in Extended Day.
- ALL Students arriving between 8:00 - 8:15am are to report to the cafeteria. There is no supervision on the blacktop before this time.
- No Cost Breakfast is served in the cafeteria 8:00 - 8:20am.
- Teachers will pick up students on the blacktop at their class numbers between 8:20-8:25.
- The Blue Double Gate doors close at 8:30. Students arriving after 8:30 need to go through the front office and pick up a "TARDY" slip.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT - Vice Principal Veronica Valdez!
POSITIVITY PROJECT
The mission of the Positivity Project is to empower our students in building positive relationships with others by understanding, appreciating, and exemplifying the character strengths in us all. These positive relationships can help our students become happier, healthier, and more resilient. Since our students spend a large percentage of their time during the day at Tatarian, the Positivity Projects gives our teachers and staff a huge opportunity to consistently teach and reinforce the skills and mindset for them to become leaders of the community.
This week we will be learning about PERSERVERANCE.
To reinforce and discuss Perseverance with your child here is a link to the book THE CARROT SEED by Ruth Kraus
PTA CORNER
Thank all the families who have joined PTA! Our Membership drive will end September 13. Your support helps to provide extra enrichment learning activities for our students that we would not be able to purchase with our yearly school budget.
