Another great week in the Preschool world comes to an end. It’s hard to believe that the school year is winding down and summer break will be here with only a short 22 school days left.

On Monday, May 15, Bargaintown kicked off their Scholastic Bookfair. We want to thank Ms. McCarron for organizing the bookfair, and a special thank you to our parent volunteers who helped us. We really appreciate all your time and help. Bargaintown also hosted a special night so that parents could come into school and enjoy the bookfair with their child, then meander down the halls admiring the students’ artwork. Our amazing staff had a hand in making the artwork come alive by scanning QR codes. Thank you to all the staff for your time, energy and creativity with the Art Show.

Then, on Tuesday, May 16, our last Preschool group traveled to the beautiful Cape May Zoo for their end of year class trip. A sincere thank you to the Parents’ Club for organizing and sponsoring the trips. Fun was had by all. Thank you to all the parents who chaperoned and enjoyed the day with us. We appreciate your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Joe Marinelli

Principal

Ms. Johnna's class had coloring art time on tin foil! It makes for fun and colorful pictures that can easily be erased and then re-drawn! The students loved it! 🙂

Ms. Morgan's class had a great time learning anout the different zoo animals displayed around Bargaintown Preschool! Two of her students even dressed as flamingos to represent the animal from their bulletin board!"

Bargaintown Preschool transformed into a zoo this month to gear up for our field trips to the Cape May Zoo. Each class picked an animal, read a story, and created artwork for the hallway. The children went on a scavenger hunt to find all the zoo animals. Each display had a QR code to hear the animal's sound.

Students from our Slaybaugh Primary and Bargaintown Pre-School enjoyed a trip to the Cape May County Zoo. The students enjoyed observing and learning about Zoo animals.

On May 17th, Bargaintown Preschool hosted our Family Art Show and Book Fair Night. Families toured the hallways of Bargaintown where they were greeted with zoo animals. QR codes provided animal sound effects to educate our students and their families on the different sounds the animals made. The art work was inspired by children's books that each classroom adopted. They read the story, learned about the habitat, life cycles, and other interesting facts about each animal.

Thank you all for your donations of plastics again this year. Our school has recycled 159 pounds of plastic to be recycled into Trex materials like vinyl fence and composite decking for the #NexTrexChallenge! You are helping us teach your children the benefits of helping our environment by recycling. Thank you so much Slaybaugh Primary Families!

Need help logging into your child's google account? There's a YouTube video for that!
