Great news! Incoming kindergarten, current private school, and students who are attending a school out-of-county and reside in our MHA school zone may begin the enrollment process after March 7th. We want to ensure this process is as smooth as possible. Please read over this information and follow the instructions for enrollment based on your family's situation. ✅ My child is currently enrolled in kindergarten through 7th grade at one of the following schools and we are zoned to attend Minneola Horizon Academy:
Astatula Elementary
Grassy Lake Elementary
East Ridge Middle School
Students will be automatically enrolled at Minneola Horizon Academy at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Please be sure to update the Annual Student Update form at the start of the school year.

*To enter kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.

✅ My children are not currently enrolled in a Lake County School. We will be moving to the Minneola Horizon Academy school zone and my children will be attending the school in August.
Once your family has moved into the area and you have gathered the necessary documents for enrollment, complete the enrollment process online through FOCUS. ✅ My child will be entering VPK in the 2025-2026 school year.
VPK applications will open on March 19th at 9AM. We are excited to offer a semester (fall and spring) and a fee-based class. Both programs will run the full school day. The semester is completely covered by the voucher and there is no cost. Students enroll either in the fall or spring semester. The fee-based program is a full year and half the day is covered by the voucher. There is a weekly tuition associated with that option. All information can be found by visiting the link below.
Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
To enroll in a VPK program you will need to complete the 2025-2026 VPK Application and obtain a VPK Certificate of Eligibility issued through the Florida Office of Early Learning. The process is completed online. Please note that applying for the voucher is not the same as registering with the school. Florida’s Early Learning Family Portal
Once these steps are completed and the application has been accepted, you will be contacted by our school to complete the enrollment process.
✅ We do not reside in the Minneola Horizon Academy school zone, but would like to enroll.
