The Chesak Chatter
July 17, 2026

From the Principal’s Corner 💛
Greetings Chesak Families and Friends,
This week, our Cheetahs will be practicing both safety and kindness!
🔥 Fire Drill with the Fire Department
We will have another fire drill this week, but this time members of our local fire department will be joining us as we practice our safety procedures. Fire drills give students an opportunity to practice what to do if we ever need to safely leave the building.
Families are encouraged to review our Fire drill social story with your child ahead of time. The story reviews expectations such as keeping hands by our sides, voices off, eyes forward, and staying with the teacher.
🧡 October is Bullying Prevention Month
As we move into October, we will also begin activities in recognition of Bullying Prevention Month. We want to carry the kindness and connection we celebrated during Start With Hello Week forward by continuing to help our Cheetahs include others, show kindness, speak up, and help everyone feel like they belong.
Kindness doesn’t end when a special week is over. It is something we can show every day!
Be sure to check out our Home School Connection section for ideas and resources to help continue conversations about kindness, inclusion, and bullying prevention at home.
Together, we’ll keep Coloring Our School with Kindness!
#KindnessColorsOurSchool🎨 #BeKind💛 #BeBrave💪 #BeYou😊
With gratitude,
Roshaunda Henson
