EHS Dual Credit Interest Meeting - 12/10
There will be an interest meeting for the EHS Traditional Dual Credit Program on Wednesday, December 10th at 6:15 p.m. in the EHS cafeteria. This session is designed for sophomores and juniors interested in taking ACC college courses on our campus, including those who are simply exploring the option. We will review program requirements, benefits, and key logistics. A parent or guardian must be present, and all information will be provided in both English and Spanish. Students should bring their laptops so they can begin the ACC application process at the end of the meeting. Doing so does not commit them to the program; it is simply an important early step. For questions, students may visit Mrs. Villarreal (F289, 2nd floor) or their high school counselor.
Elgin ISD Dual Credit Success
ACC presented EHS the following infographic regarding EHS students in ECHS, P-TECH, and our Phlebotomy and Apple Swift Coding Academies. The data is all-encompassing and provides a comprehensive account, and we are proud! Many of these students manage sports, CTE commitments, fine arts responsibilities, AP classes, On-Ramps courses, high school in general, and JOBS, yet still achieve a 90% success rate and a 96% retention rate, outperforming larger districts in Central Texas. That half a million saved is well deserved! Thank you to all parents, teachers, administrators, coaches, and club sponsors who have been there for them as they navigate through adult-like situations and responsibilities. These programs continue to grow, and these numbers are on track to double within the next two to three years, thanks the truly remarkable community of EHS. #OneTownOneTeamOneFamily
