Message from Mr. Tejkl
WELCOME TO THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Good afternoon!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and that your Sunday is going great! I can not tell you how excited I am for the new school year! Our new staff was in on Thursday for their orientation and learning a little of who we are, what we do and what they can do to be their best. On Friday, we had all of our staff in and hit the ground running with a lot of great discussions, presentations and b onding. More pictures to come but shoutout to Ms. Thompson for the facilitation of our epic adventures through the school and town!
One of the important items we talked about is what does it mean to be a HUSKY. Our administration team did a deep dive on what it takes, everyday, to fulfill our duties as a staff, as a student and as a district that we can contribute each day. Here is the results:
S - Show-Up
R - Respect
C - Consistency
To be a Husky, we need to be honoring these traits every minute of the day. To show-up means more than just arriving. It means that we need to be present, engaged and putting our best foot forward for each other. Respect is a given but it goes both ways and all ways from students to staff, staff to students, staff to staff, students to adult, adult to students, parents to staff, staff to parents, etc. We are in it together and it is earned each day. Finally, we need to be consistent with being the same across the board, always. Each day we have the opportunity to treat each other with respect and to be kind. This is what it means to be a HUSKY!
Looking forward to having everyone together soon!
Have a great evening and I will see you all tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out."
