Eagle Way Winners- September
Congratulations to our September Eagle Way Winners! These students are being recognized for Making Good Choices, Even When No One is Watching! In October, the Eagle Way behavior focus is Be the Best Version of You! Being the best version of yourself is important because it allows you to grow, reach your potential, and positively impact those around you.
Kindergarten News
September in Kindergarten
September has been such a fun month of learning, exploring, and making new friends! Our kindergarteners have been busy building routines, discovering new stories, and welcoming special visitors to our classroom.
Story Time with Miss Laurel
We were so excited to have Miss Laurel from the Pemberville Public Library visit our class! She shared a wonderful read-aloud and reminded us how fun it is to visit the library and discover new books. The children loved listening and asking questions—it was a special treat!
A Visit from Deputy Cooper
Our kindergarteners also had the chance to meet School Resource Officer Deputy Cooper. He talked with us about his important job of keeping our school and community safe. Deputy Cooper even read us a story, which the children really enjoyed! It was a great way to connect reading with real-life community helpers.
Nursery Rhyme Olympics
We celebrated our learning of classic nursery rhymes with a fun-filled Nursery Rhyme Olympics! Students acted out their favorite rhymes, participated in silly races, and showed off how well they can sing and recite. It was a joyful way to blend movement, memory, and music—lots of smiles all around!
Mr. Ward is on the move!!
During fourth grade recess time, when Mr. Ward is able, he is going out to walk to try to get some steps in. He has invited students to walk with him.
Any 4th or 5th grader is welcome to join for a single lap or the entire recess.
- Walk at your own pace or join Mr. Ward who typically walks 4.5 laps(about 1 mile) during the recess time
- Before going inside, record our number of laps on Mr. Ward’s clipboard to track our progress
- In just the first 9 days of walking at recess, we’ve already had 40 different students participate by joining for at least a lap!
- we’ve had over 280 total laps walked for a total distance walked so far of over 62 miles!
