NO COST BREAKFAST & LUNCH 2025-2026!

The MSD of Martinsville will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2025-2026 school year. This program applies to all MSD students selecting a "tray" meal. All alacart and single items will still be available for purchase.

Breakfast and Lunch Menus
Click above for the Arties Cafe site and the monthly menus.

During arrival and dismissal, please pull all of the way up to the end of the sidewalk. This allows Green staff to quickly and safely get students in and out of the building.

Each month, students are nominated by school staff for exemplifying the character trait of the month. Students earn a brag tag, and a group picture is posted on social media. Congratulations to students nominated for showing determination in August:

Caroline Steel, Nova Kremer, Owen McCammack, Cricket Napier, Corbin Iwema, Aeriana Williamson, Cara Garrett, Jaylyn Zike, Noah Wonderlick, and Kensley Ennis.

Office News

Proof of residency and a birth certificate must be on file in a student's PRC. If you have not already done so, please provide the necessary forms to school ASAP. Contact Mrs. Murphy at the office if you need more information.

Volunteering at Green

Parents interested in volunteering for class parties, field trips, etc. MUST have a background check on file. Background checks need to be done in advance due to the time it takes to process the information. A great opportunity to get this done in advance is during our Open House on August 6. Forms will be available for you to fill out. You must also provide your driver's license (we will make a copy of it that evening).

*Please note: We are no longer allowing visitors during lunch. Thank you for your understanding.

Clinic Minutes

Immunizations: Students in all grades (PK-12) are required to meet the minimum immunization requirements. Students in Kindergarten, 6th grade, or 12th grade typically need to complete a series within the immunization schedule before the first day of school. The MSD of Martinsville provides a 20-day extension waiver beyond the first day of school, which expires on August 29th, 2025. Additional vaccine paperwork can be found on the district website.

Medication: If your child requires medication during the school year, medication must be sent in the original container labeled with your child’s name and date of birth. All prescription medications must have an intact, up to date label. All over the counter medications must be in an unopened container. Package directions will be followed on all medications. In addition, a permission form must be on file and signed by the parent/guardian.

Medical Conditions: If your student has a medical condition requiring accommodations or emergency action plans at school, an updated physician's order is required each new school year. This ensures the school has the most up to date information and instructions. Action plans for asthma, diabetes, anaphylaxis and seizures should be faxed to the school from your child’s physician BEFORE the first day of school.

Along with meeting Green Township Elementary staff, grandparents can participate in an art activity and peruse the book fair with their grandchildren. This year instead of a dinner the PTO will have desserts available for purchase.

Penny Wars

Help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital by participating in our annual Penny War fundraiser. Pennies and dollars add money to a classes total while nickels, dimes, and quarters detract from other classes. The class with the highest total will win a popsicle party sponsored by the PTO. The fundraiser will start September 29 and end October 3.
