MCP: 36th StreetFamily Newsletter Week of August 19th Welcome Back to School

Happy New Year!!! Happy New Year!!!

Everyone here is ecstatic to welcome you and your scholar back for the 2024-2025 school year. The staff have been working diligently to make sure every classroom is prepared to welcome their scholars in for the school year. This year we are grounding ourselves in the following values: ownership, scholarship, standards, service and growth. We will lead with love, and the learning will follow. We are grateful that you chose MCP to educate you scholar. We do not take that privilege lightly. You are welcome to join us tomorrow morning for our all school assembly at 8:00 am. At 7:30 we will have the red carpet rolled and a place to take those first day of school photos. We look forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Dismissal Update Dismissal Update

In order to have a safe dismissal process, we have discontinued the parent walk-up option for pick up. If your scholar is listed as a walker, you must provide an address they are walking to. Due to safety concerns, scholars will not be able to stand on the corner and wait for their rides. Families are able to join the car line at 2:45. Ms. Neal or myself will be out at 3:00 collecting names. At 3:10 scholars will be dismissed as their ride arrives. If your scholar is getting on a daycare van or a transportation service, please let them know scholars are released at 3:10. Thank you for understanding the need for this adjustment, scholar safety is top priority here at MCP. Please complete the Scholar Dismissal Form so we know how scholars are getting home all day.
