Hello Lutherville families!

We enjoyed our first full five-day-week of learning this week!

This week I spent a lot of time in classrooms and enjoyed seeing your children hard at work growing their skills and knowledge. Students have mastered routines and are getting deeper into their curriculums. It's been a joy to also see them in special areas where their creativity, artistry, and athleticism shines. There's no doubt that our staff here is putting our motto into action: teaching the whole child, with our whole hearts.

Thank you to our families that have been mindful and cautious with children who are not feeling well. We are all in this together and your caution helps keep us all safe. Attached to this newsletter, please find another helpful resource Nurse Vita has developed to help guide families in making those decisions. As always, she can be reached at svita@bcps.org or in the health suite at 410-560-9886.

Transportation challenges that have long been affecting other schools have come to Lutherville. We received notice from transportation that for the foreseeable future the yellow and white buses will be combined. This is not expected to have a significant impact on ride times and/or stop times. We also had a late dismissal for our pink bus earlier this week. We have developed automated call lists for all our busses and if there are significant delays on future days, families can expect a call notifying them of the delay and a second call notifying them when the bus has left the school.

We're looking forward to another full week next week and hope to see many of you on Tuesday at Food Truck Night at St. Paul's!

In partnership,

-Mr. McComb

Student Clubs Update

We are very excited at the strong initial interest in student clubs and are looking forward to getting them started. We are awaiting final budgeting allocations from the school system, which we should have the week of October 4th. This will delay the start of our clubs slightly, but our planning continues and are looking forward to sharing more information soon!

Just a reminder that this initial survey is not a final opportunity to join clubs. We will continue to advertise club availability as the year progresses and opportunities open.
