AVA Family Update
March 15, 2026
Good evening AVA students and families,
I have the usual schedule, guidance, and community updates below.
Two things of note this week. Grades will be posted Tuesday, and our schedule has significant changes on Tuesday and Wednesday for AHS MCAS testing. We will test a small number of AVA students on Thursday, and you have already been emailed if this applies to you. I will confirm with students tomorrow about their MCAS testing responsibilities.
Thank you for your time.

Guidance Updates
ACT/SAT Testing
The Spring college admissions testing season is about half over, so AVA juniors interested in applying to colleges next year should register soon if interested. Also, remember that just because a college is test-optional, it does not always mean that it is optional for you/your child if GPA is low based on the MA state college admissions standards, so it might be best to have test scores and not need them than need test scores and not have them!
SAT: Click HERE to register. Click HERE to find and view seat availability for an SAT test location. The Attleboro zip code is 02703. Click HERE for SAT practice exams. Click HERE for more info about SAT fee waivers.
ACT: Click HERE to register for the test. Click HERE to find an ACT test location. Click HERE for free ACT practice.

Additional Scholarships
