Summer is Here!
2025-2026 Final Principal's Message
Dear Students, Parents and Community Members,
Now that our school year has come to a close, I wanted to make sure that everyone has a concise update on where we stand as we begin the new fiscal year on July 1st. In order to be as transparent as possible, I want to ensure families know what to expect come fall. Please note that most of the changes noted below are the result of the proposed budget not passing and the 100K cut.
1. There will be no summer program, only Extended School Year (ESY) for specific special education students.
2. Families will be responsible for providing school supplies for their children in the fall for the entire school year. Please go to the website under Resources and select For Families. The supplies are separated by individual needs per student and there is a wish list of things the classrooms and other building staff need for multiple student use.
3. At this time it is looking like we will not have the ability to provide transportation to high school students. We cannot afford to do this with even with our own resources or to pay the high school to utilize their transportation. We are still exploring all options but will not begin establishing routes until a final decision is made.
4. Athletics will follow a "Pay to Play" Model for the 2026-2027 school year. You will here more about this from our athletic director Joan Fontaine.
5. Our first day of school will be August 31st as Labor Day falls late this year!
6. There will be no before or afterschool program. Students will not be allowed to be dropped off until 8:00 a.m. in the fall.
7. Finally , our Preschool Program has one more opening in the 4 year old program and a few spots left in our 3 year old program! At this time we will take Lempster students only but after June 30th will offer any remaining to Goshen students!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to the main office if you have any questions. I hope that everyone has a happy, healthy and safe summer!
Warmest Wishes!
