What a nice, short week! Recess felt like summer on Wednesday and winter on Thursday. Please remember to check the weather each day to be sure your child has what they need for recess. While the ground is muddy, students will need to wear snow or rain boots if they would like to play in the grass or woods. Students who only have sneakers will need to stay on the blacktop, wood chips, or in the sandbox.
There were some very special visitors at TES this week! Fire Chief Clark, Deputy Chief Caisse, and Captain Pervere led an informative fire safety demonstration. We were also visited by Deputy State Fire Marshal Fanjoy and his partner, Anthem, who showed how Anthem helps determine how a fire starts. Anthem demonstrated her incredible ability to detect even a single drop of gasoline. 🚒🐾 Be sure to ask your children how many different scents Anthem can identify!
Due to the snow day on March 6, which canceled our first week of activities, we will combine the One School, One Book Week One activities with our upcoming scheduled Activity Fridays. We have some great activities planned that we don’t want anyone to miss, but adding an additional Activity Friday is not possible with everything else already on the calendar. The reading schedule will remain the same. Happy reading!
