Message from Principal Maria

Grizzly Families,

We are heading into the final week of October, and there is so much to celebrate at Evergreen!

Our 6th graders continue to lead the way with strong attendance, earning another celebration! We are proud of their commitment to being at school, getting to class on time, and being ready to learn.

We encourage all our Grizzlies to keep building these positive habits.

Spirit Week is Here! October 26–30

Let's show our Grizzly spirit and have some fun!

  • Monday, 10/26: Pajama Day

  • Tuesday, 10/27: 90's Day

  • Wednesday, 10/28: Meme Day

  • Thursday, 10/29: Anything but a Backpack Day

  • Friday, 10/30: Costume Day

This week is also Discover U Week! Students will explore future careers, college, and other postsecondary opportunities through classroom and advisory activities.

We are also celebrating positive student behavior! 89% of our scholars have zero recorded behavior incidents. We will continue recognizing students who meet expectations while partnering with families to support students who need additional guidance.

Reminder: Friday, October 30, is an Early Release Day.

Thank you for your continued partnership in making Evergreen a place where every scholar feels connected, supported, and challenged to grow.

Every scholar. Every classroom. Every day.

Thank you,

Denise Maria (she/her)

Sportsmanship at Federal Way Public Schools: Sportsmanship at Federal Way Public Schools

Fan Expectations

Federal Way Public Schools believes activities and athletics are important choices to be offered in a comprehensive and challenging educational experience for all scholars. The goals of the activities and athletic programs are to teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for fellow competitors, officials, opposing team members, and opposing team fans.

All participants as well as spectators are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship and respect toward opponents, officials and event staff at all times. Our goal is to provide a safe environment where everyone feels respected. Event management have the authority to remove individuals for inappropriate behavior or comments.

Watch our video about sportsmanship in FWPS!

How to be a Positive Spectator
