RES Mission: Learning, Loving and Growing Together
RES Vision: Equipping Everyone for Excellence
As the season begins to shift from summer to fall, I can’t help but think about the new season of growth and change at Ringgold Elementary School. It has been my absolute joy and privilege to love and serve the students and families of RES. You will forever hold such a dear place in my heart.
While I am excited for this new season in my own life, I am also so thankful to remain a part of Catoosa County Public Schools, which means I’ll still get to swing by and see my Tigers from time to time!
I am confident that Superintendent Nix will make an incredible choice in the next principal for RES, and I know this new leader won’t skip a beat in continuing the wonderful things already happening here. Superintendent Nix plans to recommend the new principal at the October 14th Board of Education Meeting.
As you begin this new chapter with a new principal, I am confident that the incredible growth, learning, and love already happening at RES will continue to flourish. Ringgold Elementary is a truly special place, and I know the best is yet to come.
With love and gratitude,
Kristian Edgeman

Full STEAM Ahead with Mrs. Nepp
3rd grade will be working on continents and oceans this month and then will move into a unit about early exploration
4th grade is still working on an experiment about water bottle flipping. We will hopefully be moving on to moon phases/solar system soon.
5th grade is working on a National Park Service project and designing their own arrowhead symbols for a specific park they have researched. This will tie into constructive and deconstructive forces by discussing various landforms found at National Parks.
Aarrgghhh! Make plans to join us for STEAM Night on Oct 21st. Be on the lookout for more information to wash up on shore soon...
Media Center Message from Mrs. Coney
Hello! I'm beginning to work on our Veteran's Day Slideshow. If you are a Veteran or have a family member to include, please complete this form by October 17th. If you've completed this form in the past, I already have your information and pictures. (Only 3rd grade families and families that are new to our school need to complete this form. If you are a 4th or 5th grade parent who completed this form last school year, you DO NOT need to do it again. )
Thanks for helping to make this happen!

Family Engagement
Classroom Orientation & FAST Family Night
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us on September 15th for Classroom Orientation! This was a great night for parents to visit their student's classroom to find out what they will be learning this year and to get some great classroom and school information!
We also gave out FAST packets that night. These packets contained valuable information about MAP testing and scores. (The packets went home in folders for those families not able to attend.) Thank you for completing and returning the cover sheet to your teachers. This will help them plan parent-teacher conferences this semester. If you requested a conference, you will be hearing from your teacher soon. Your students will receive a small reward for those returned forms after fall break.
