New ParentVUE Mobile App New ParentVUE Mobile App

New ParentVUE Mobile App

Edupoint has released a modernized ParentVUE (New) mobile application and retired the older ParentVUE app. Families should download the updated version to maintain access to student grades, schedules, and attendance records. Here are some easy directions you might provide to families:

How to Get Started with ParentVUE (New)

  • Remove Old App: Delete the old ParentVUE app from your phone first so the new version functions correctly.

  • Download: Search for ParentVUE (New) directly in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or follow the upgrade prompt inside your legacy (old) ParentVUE app.

  • Connect to District: Open the new app, swipe through the intro, and search for your school district using your postal zip code.

  • Log In: If prompted, select "Already Activated" if you already have an account, and sign in using your existing username and password.

Guidelines for Volunteer Application Guidelines for Volunteer Application

Applications are open to become a D39C volunteer!

  • Please refer to the "Guideline for Volunteer Application" See attachment below.
  • Please email d39cvolunteer@powayusd.com if you have any questions.

We know many of you are eager and excited to get involved on campus—and we love that! At Design39Campus, one of the things that makes our learning environment so special is the strong relationship between learners and their LED (Learning Experience Designer). Building that connection takes time, which is why we hold off on having volunteers in classrooms for the first six weeks of school.

Possible times are 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. If interested, please apply through Poway Unified School District at the this link.

Off Campus Independent Study (OCIS) Off Campus Independent Study (OCIS)

Attendance and OCIS Contracts: If you have a student who will not be in class for 2-15 consecutive days, please notify your LED and the cc the Attendance email so we can offer an OCIS contract. An OCIS contract allows your student the opportunity to attempt assigned work while absent and (receive positive attendance) - this also helps the school maintain state funding.

OCIS contracts are being done digitally via an application called Informed K-12 you will receive the contract through your email. *No contract can begin without the Legal Guardians signature, so please look for the email (check your junk mail)*

Parents are required to give 2 school days notice for absences up to 2 days, 5 school days notice for absences 5 days or more.

Prepping work for students who are absent is an incredible amount of work for our teaching staff and we ask that you give your child’s teacher as much advance notice as possible beyond the above guidelines.

We do not write contracts beyond 15 days. If you plan to be away for 15 or more days you may require alternative choices for schooling (i.e. – New Directions-middle school, PHEP) read more here Alternative Programs. Please contact Sherri Habel in the Welcome Center if you have additional questions.

Here’s what you need to know:

📵 All phones must be powered off and stored in backpacks during the school day.
⌚ Smartwatches, such as Apple Watches, shall not be used for communication.

💻 Students shall not use computers, iPads, or other devices as communication tools during the school day. This includes iMessage, texting, email, chat features, and other messaging platforms.

If a student needs to contact you, they can do so through the Welcome Center. Likewise, if you need to reach your student during the school day, please call the Welcome Center.

Let’s work together to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment for all.

Dropping Off Forgotten Items Dropping Off Forgotten Items

Dropping off items in the Welcome Center is discouraged. It is the student's responsibility to remember what they need each day. Prescription and Over the Counter medications may NOT be dropped off in the front office; students and parents/guardians must speak with the Health Tech face to face.

Students may not pick up any delivered food from parents or food delivery services such as Doordash, Uber Eats, etc.

If a student forgets their lunch, there is free food offered in the Servery.

Parent Concern Process Parent Concern Process

We are always here to assist with any need you may have. Oftentimes, a resolution to a concern can be found quickly by heading to the source, and we encourage parents not to post about concerns on social media platforms. To that end, we wanted to provide a quick visual to share how you should go about addressing a question/concern you have regarding D39C. We hope this chart will help you as you navigate the year with us.

Supporting Positive Behavior at Design39Campus Supporting Positive Behavior at Design39Campus

At Design39Campus, we use PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming school community where every student can thrive.

PBIS helps us teach, model, and celebrate positive behaviors while providing clear expectations for all learners. By focusing on prevention, consistency, and belonging, we help students build confidence, make positive choices, and feel connected to their school community.

Our PBIS framework is built around our DESIGN Values:

⭐ Do What's Right
⭐ Encourage Others
⭐ Stay Safe
⭐ Include Everyone
⭐ Give Your Best
⭐ Notice Your Impact

These values are taught, modeled, and reinforced throughout the year to help students develop strong character, positive relationships, and a sense of responsibility.

Prior to the start of the school year, families can support PBIS at home by discussing these values during everyday routines, recognizing positive choices, and modeling the behaviors we hope to see in our students.

Together, we're creating a learning community where every student is seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
