First week is in the books!
Hey Bengals,
Thank you for an incredible first week back! The building was filled with fantastic energy and a real excitement for learning. Looking ahead, this week we are hosting our 6th Grade Meet the Teacher event on Tuesday, August 18th. Fall sports will also be officially underway soon—our cross country, football, and volleyball teams are gearing up, with games kicking off for football the last weekend in August and the first week of September for cross country and volleyball. We can't wait to see our Bengal community out in full force to cheer on our students!
Warmly,
#BriscoeProud

First Day Welcome from our Dance Team
Help us make drop off and pick better for everyone
🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminders from Officer Gordon
Drop-Off
Pull up past the crosswalk (not right at the doors) — this lets more kids exit at once and speeds up the line.
Pick-Up (Front)
Watch the road, not for your student — let them come to you. Backups happen when drivers are scanning instead of moving forward.
Please pull forward when the line moves. Picking up your student with space in front of you slows down the pick up line and ends up causing traffic issues on Lone Star Pkwy.
Stay in your vehicle — flag a staff member if your student isn't out; don't get out to search.
Small cones = no second pickup line in the parking lot. It's fine for crosswalk parking, just don't block others in.
One pickup line only — please don't create a second lane. Exit as soon as you have your student.
Pick-Up (Back)
Stay out of the bus loop — wait in the back lot and use the rear crosswalk.
No parking/waiting in fire lanes (buses/deliveries only) — this is a high-risk area for kids darting across.
Goal: Finish pick-up by 4:15 again this year — thanks for helping us get every student home safely!

2. Bus riders will be released to the cafeteria to wait for buses.
3. Walkers and parent pick up will exit through the front.

AVID
Do you have gently used clothes you no longer need? Want to make sure they go to a good cause?
AVID is collecting clothing donations through the donation bin located in front of the school near the parent pick-up line sign. Every item donated is converted into funds that directly support our AVID program.
The donation bin is available year-round, including over the summer, so you can drop off donations whenever it is convenient for you. We would greatly appreciate any clothing items you are able to contribute.
Even Mrs. Barnes’ fur baby, Jackson, is excited to support this wonderful opportunity! :)
Thank you for your continued support of AVID and the future leaders and scholars on our campus.
PBIS Donations
Our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) School Store is a big hit with students! They earn Bengal Bucks for showing respect, safety, responsibility, and kindness—and they love spending those bucks on fun prizes.
We’re looking for donations to help keep our Bengal Buggy stocked! If you’d like to contribute, our Amazon Wish List is linked below. Thank you for helping us celebrate our students’ positive behavior and make our PBIS program a success!

School Safety
There are lots of ways you can help us be our campus safe. For example, you can talk with your children about the importance of taking drills seriously, remaining calm, and cooperating with all staff.
Check out the District Safety Website to learn more about additional safety measures.
Our goal is that all students are safe on campus.
If you see something, say something, by calling
the campus at 210-398-1110 or our Safeline at
