Hagerman School Board members voted to approve powerlifting for Hagerman High School boys and girls to participate in this coming spring semester. Special thanks to Powerlifting Coaches Deb Grider & Drew Manzanares for advocating to get this program started for our students. Coach Grider and Manzanares have experience in the sport and are "pumped" to get the program going.

Our Bobcats will have the oppourtunity to compete in three lifts (Bench Press, Dead Lift, & Squat) in several weight divisions to see how strong we really are. The season will begin in January with the state meet in April if we have any athletes in the top 8 in their weight class in any of the three lifts.

Bobcats, make sure when you are going to preform this week, you have ate well, get enough sleep, focus on what you need to do to preform at a high level, and stick to your routine.

PREPARE TO WIN

Analise is a senior for the Lady Cats. She helped them start the year with a 2-1 record. Analise was named to the All-Tournament team this past weekend in the Tucumcari Lady Rattler Tournament. Come out and support the Lady Cats and Analise as they travel to Dexter on Tuesday in the latest edition to that rivalry.

Two races and two first place finishes for senior Fernando. He will be out running again in two weeks when the XC teams travel to Ruidoso. You will probably see him logging miles on Strava running around town. Cheer him on when you do!

Landen is QB 1 for the Bobcats and has helped lead them to a home victory week 1. This senior is ready to move the Bobcats up the polls and back to the playoffs this year. Come out Friday night to support Landen as he leads the Bobcats again against the Cloudcroft Bears. The next touchdown he scores just might be for you.

Armando is one of the athletes from Lake Arthur to come and play football. He has been in the program since the Hagerman/Lake Arthur co-op started. He plays on both sides of the ball, but when you come out Friday night to watch him and the rest of the Bobcats take on Cloudcroft, keep an eye on the Middle Linebacker position and watch Armando shine.

If you, or your business are interested in sponsorship opportunities, we may be able to accomodate your needs. We can run a 30 second commercial sport using our Gametime platform. This plays the ads before the start of home game, at halftime, and when contests are over. We also have a sports program that will be on sale at all home games. Now your company can be advertised on our giant video screen in the gym during home games. If you would like more information, please reach out by phone (575) 752-3283 or email, arodriguez@bobcat.net
