Bogota Middle School August Update

As summer draws to a close, we are preparing for the upcoming school year at Bogota Middle School. We look forward to a fun and productive academic term ahead. Please ensure that your child has completed their summer assignments and continues to dedicate time to leisurely reading.

• Our first day of school for students will be on Thursday, September 5th. Both Thursday, September 5th and Friday, September 6th are one session days for students and dismissal will be at 12:40pm.
• For students who pay or qualify, breakfast will be served at 7:30 am daily in the cafeteria. Please ensure all lunch form information is completed accurately. Details can be found by clicking the link below.
• The first bell of the day is at 8:10am. This is the time that students transition to their first class of the day. At 8:15am, the late bell goes off and students who are not in their 1st period class will be tardy.
• A diagram for arrival and dismissal is included on the bottom of this letter.

Student schedules will will be viewable on August 23rd, after 3pm.

Bagels and Locks Change

The 7th grade will kick off the year with our Bagels and Locks Event Wednesday, September 4th. The event will begin at 10:00am and conclude at 12:00pm. Students will receive their locks and be given a brief tutorial on how to use them. The PTO will be providing bagels.

Kindly review our District Uniform Policy, included in this newsletter, as we will be diligently following the dress code this year.

Punctuality and attendance are crucial for future success, and we will be closely monitoring student tardiness as well.

This is an important reminder that all incoming 6th students are required by state law to have their TDAP boosters and meningitis vaccines by the first day of school, September 5th.
