PreACT Score Information

In looking at scores, the PreACT has different benchmarks for college readiness based on grade and the time of year the test is given. This table can help you determine where your student’s strengths are in preparing for college and opportunities for them to focus on growing their skills this school year. If students are interested in preparing for the Spring PreACT and ACT test days, we offer a free ACT test preparation tool called Methodize. Your student can access this through the Xello app on their school Chromebook.

Dismissal Reminder ❗❗❗

Parents - please know that instructional time goes until 3:45pm every day. If your student needs to leave prior to dismissal, please call our attendance line (608-478-1707) to communicate this absence. PreACT Results for Grades 9, 10, & 11

Parents & Caregivers, Thank you for supporting your scholar during the fall PreACT assessment. We are grateful for the way our students showed effort and focus during testing. Student Reports have been mailed home.

Results are also available online. To view your scholar’s report:

  1. Go to https://nextpath.app/login.

  2. Select “log in with email” under the Guardian option.

  3. The first time you sign in, you will be asked to confirm some information for your child(ren).

  4. Once logged in, select PreACT Local.

The Student Report includes:

  • Subject and Composite Scores

  • Readiness Benchmarks

  • National Percentile Rank

  • Predicted ACT Score

  • STEM score (Science and Math)

  • Progress Toward Career Readiness

You can learn more about these scores here: Using Your PreACT Results.

Because the PreACT is similar to the ACT, these resources can help students plan and prepare for spring testing: Test Prep, Kaplan Test Prep, & ACT practice test. Students also have free access to ACT and SAT prep through Methodize, which can be found under the Resources tab on Xello (available on school-issued devices).

The score report is only one piece of your scholar’s learning story. Their growth also shows up in the classroom—through teacher observations, daily work, and other assessments collected across the school year. We look forward to supporting and celebrating their growth throughout the year.

Wolf Study Lounge 🐺📖

Does your child need help before (7:45am - 8:15am) or after school (3:50pm - 4:40pm)? Check out these opportunities for receiving extra help with a variety of subjects!

Event Guideliness

Please review the SPASD event guidelines. Our athletes are ready to take the field, stage, pool, court, pitch, course and so much more this school year. Together we will continue to make these fantastic, safe and enjoyable events for all.

All West students will need their student ID or if they have not yet received their 25/26 student ID, they will need to look up their Infinite Campus profile. This can be done in advance and screenshotted for quick access.

We will bring our SP West Equity Vision to life and disrupt inequities in our math and reading outcomes through the following Theory of Action: IF we use professional learning teams (teacher teams that teach the same classes) to intentionally design and implement instructional strategies and supports of the essential standards AND Work to repair and transform relationships to create a stronger sense of shared identity through restorative practices AND Impactfully collaborate to improve practice and outcomes through analyzing and owning data including focus group (reading and math outcomes for our Black students) AND Take action to challenge and dismantle oppressive systemic, personal, and instructional policies and adult practices through resources including the iceberg protocol (from our training resource Courageous Conversations Around Race) AND Design rigorous and responsive instruction as professional learning teams through the use of culturally responsive teaching based on knowledge of students and knowledge of standards (ASL, AVID, Developmental Designs, RCT Framework, SEL, Scaffolds, Multiple Modes of Assessment). THEN we will increase reading and math outcomes for Black/African American students (and all students- Black students were selected as our focal group as our data indicates that we have not done right by these students... yet).
