Fremont Intermediate School
New Family Registration
A Message From Mr. Ladenburger
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you and your family had a fantastic summer full of laughter, rest, and special memories. We’re excited to kick off another year of learning, growth, and community at Fremont Intermediate — and we’re especially thrilled to welcome our new families to the pack!
This year, we’ll be building something incredible together with our school-wide theme: "Building a Stronger Community— Brick by Brick!"
Inspired by LEGOs, this theme is all about the power of creativity, collaboration, and making connections. Just like every LEGO brick plays a unique role in building something amazing, each student, staff member, and family plays an essential role in the success of our school.
Alongside this theme, we’ll continue to emphasize our school-wide behavior expectations through our PAWS system:
🐾 Practice Safety
🐾 Act Responsibly
🐾 Work for Success
🐾 Show Respect
These guiding values help create a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive — and they’ll be reinforced in our classrooms, hallways, and school-wide events all year long.
Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for an engaging and meaningful school year, and we can't wait to see our students back in the building soon.
Let’s make this a year to remember — one brick, one paw, and one great moment at a time!

Student Password Change
We want to inform you about an important update to student Chromebook passwords for the upcoming school year.
Beginning August 19, students will no longer have access to their Chromebooks using their current passwords. As part of a building wide update to improve security, each student will receive a new password based on the following format:
- Initials + Student Number + "." + Random Word
Students will receive their new passwords once school begins. Their classroom teacher will help them log in and get reconnected during the first days of school. If at anytime your child forgets their password, you can access their password by following the directions below.
- Log into TeacherEase
- Click on "Miscellaneous" at the top of your screen
- Click on "Locker/Lunch Pin"
- The password will be under the heading "Locker Num/Combo"
Thank you for your support as we work to ensure a safe and smooth start to the school year!
What I Need - WIN
Every homeroom teacher will have a block of time in their schedule titled WIN (“What I Need” time). WIN time is a dedicated part of the school day where students receive targeted support based on their individual needs. Some students may work on strengthening specific skills, while others may be challenged with enrichment activities. The goal is to ensure every child gets exactly what they need to grow and succeed.
Student Pick-Up/Drop-Off
If you plan to pick up your child from school on a frequent basis please fill out this form. You will be given a sign, through your youngest child at school, that you will display in your car window. If you have completed the form prior to August 9th, we will have the sign available at Meet and Greet. Please refer to our Pick-up and Drop-off Procedures for our specific guidelines.
Curriculum Night
The Intermediate School curriculum night will be on Thursday, September 4. Each homeroom teacher will give two identical presentations. Each presentation will be the same so you only need to attend one of them. More details will be communicated after the start of the school year.
6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Presentation #1
7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Presentation #2
Medical Forms
Health information and medical forms are available on the FSD79 Health Services website page. Please drop off forms at your child’s school.
Kindergarteners must show proof of current physical/immunizations, as well as dental and eye exam forms.
Second graders must complete a dental examination prior to starting school.
Sixth graders must provide a dental examination form and a health examination form with proof of up-to-date immunizations.
Photo Opt-Out Form
Parents and guardians who DO NOT want their child’s photograph and/or student work published need to complete this form and return it to their school's front office within your student’s first 5 days of school attendance. A letter submitted from the previous year will not carry over.
Before and After School Care
FSD79 Family Handbook
To help you and your child prepare for a successful school year, we encourage you to review the FSD79 Family Handbook 2025–2026, which outlines important school expectations, policies, and procedures.
Attendance Matters
Strong attendance habits begin on day one. When students are here consistently and on time, they benefit from direct instruction, collaboration with peers, and meaningful relationships with teachers. Please help us by encouraging your child to be present and ready to learn each day—every day truly counts.
“Away for the Day” – Device Expectations
To support a learning-focused environment, we will continue our “Away for the Day” initiative in accordance with the Portable Electronic Equipment Policy (Board Policy 7:190).
Here are a few important reminders:
Cell phones must be turned off and kept in a Chromebook bag or sleeve during the school day.
Smartwatches should be in school mode and used only as a watch.
Devices are not permitted during class time, in hallways, bathrooms, lunch, or recess.
Students needing to contact a parent or guardian should use the main office phone.
Exceptions may be made if outlined in a student’s IEP or 504 Plan.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
