A Note From The Principal
Dear Parents and Families,
As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to congratulate all of our students in grades 2 through 4 on their hard work, growth, and accomplishments. It has been a year filled with learning, friendships, new experiences, and countless moments that have made our school community stronger. We loved watching all of you grow and making our school “glow”!
Our second and third grade students have made tremendous progress and should be proud of all they have achieved. We look forward to welcoming them back next year as they continue their educational journey and build upon the strong foundation they have developed this year.
A special congratulations goes out to our fourth-grade students as they prepare to move on to middle school. This is an exciting milestone, and they have truly earned it. Over the years, they have grown into confident, capable, and caring young people who are ready to take on new challenges and opportunities. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and know they are well-prepared for success in middle school.
While we are excited for what lies ahead, we will certainly miss our fourth graders. Their leadership, enthusiasm, and positive contributions have left a lasting impact on our school community. On behalf of the entire staff, I wish them the very best as they begin this next chapter. We know they will continue to do great things, and we look forward to hearing about their future successes.
Have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer!
Warm regards,
Principal Olson

See you in September!
Congrats to Grade 4! Best Wishes for Next Year and Beyond!
Grade 4 performed a terrific show for their families this month and on the last day of school, they marched in a procession around the school to take one last look around and bid farewell to their teachers and Principal Olson
Please RETURN, REPLACE OR PAY FOR your lost library books.
Did you know that 5% of Heritage Students did not return their library books to Heritage School Library this year? Because of our budget restraints, we will not be able to replace them :( so that is less material for the students next year. If you come across any library books this summer, please drop them off to the school office. We ask that you RETURN REPLACE OR PAY FOR your lost books. If a student had a lost book, they would have received a notice from the library already.

THANK YOU DCEF & CHARLTON CULTURAL COUNCIL
Bren Bataclan - Artist in Residence
Thanks to grants from the Dudley Charlton Educational Foundation and The Charlton Cultural Council, Heritage School was able to have a one week Artist in Residence Program last month. We welcomed Boston based global artist Bren Bataclan. Mr. Bataclan opened the week with an all school assembly where he talked about the positive power of art, and how a spile is universally understood and is not limited to shared language. He presented a slideshow of his art project installations from around the world and talked with the students about their vision for the school mural which would be the culmination of the residency. He also answered a lot of question from the students. Then during their weekly art classes, all students were able to spend time with the artist himself and work on their techniques in small groups. Heritage staff members were invited to help paint the canvases after the art work was drawn on them and the magical results were unveiled at an all school assembly at the end of the week. Thank you to to Mr. Bren Bataclan and our art teacher extraordinaire, Mrs. Amy Paquette and all who helped bring this event to fruition! The finished multi-panel mural will be installed in the school lobby this summer.
For more information, visit Bataclan.com
Bren has also been sharing his kindness-related street art project with schools for over fifteen years.

(Favorite activities outside of work? Going on long walks, kayaking, playing with other dogs, and taking naps - and soon will welcome a new human baby sister!)
