I can hardly believe we've just had our first day of school! There's an incredible energy in the air as we get ready for a new year of learning, friendship, and fun.

I want to extend a huge thank you for your patience and flexibility as the road construction wraps up around our school. We know it's been a bit tricky, and we truly appreciate you navigating the detours with a smile. Your partnership means the world to us!

Our amazing teachers and staff have been working incredibly hard to prepare for the students' arrival. They’ve been in the building planning exciting lessons, decorating classrooms, and collaborating to make sure this is the best year yet. I am so proud to work with a team that is so dedicated to our students and our school community. We are excited to welcome everyone back and create wonderful memories together.

P.S. We’ve all been busy getting ready, including our school therapy dog Roese Hoese. I’m pretty sure she has already napped in every classroom to make sure they were all comfy and ready for the first day.

WOW! It has only been two days, but this year is going to be AMAZING! The Greatest Little Elementary in the Universe is bustling with excitement. We have new Lil Steamer faces, new staff faces, and a positive environment for all to learn and grow throughout the school year! We are excited to have everyone back in the building!

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their patience with the adjustments that needed to be made in drop off procedures. It is never the intent of anyone to have a construction project happening when we are transitioning back into a new school year. While we have had to make some adjustments, we are truly grateful for everyone's patience and grace during this time.

From the Desk of: Counselor Meumann

I had the opportunity to visit each classroom this week and welcome everyone back. I was able to explain exactly what a counselor does. We talked about feelings and how I can help our students if they are having uncomfortable feelings. I support the students and encourage them to see me if they are struggling. I explained how I see students individually and in groups to help them to work through anything they may be struggling with. Sometimes students may feel like their world is falling apart. I am here to support those students and to help them to develop strategies and coping skills to work through it. I also make monthly visits to their classrooms to talk about friendship, respect, responsibility, and problem solving.

Your input is needed as the Board of Education considers building a new gym at RBMS, adding a performing arts center at FHS, build a multi-purpose space at FHS to address needed wrestling room space, add classrooms to RBMS and FES, an additional gym at FHS to replace the converted performing arts space and add parking around the middle school.

The following link will take you to a Q&A document as well as provide a survey to give input. The Board would like to finalize a decision and move forward with planning for a referendum to pay for the additional spaces by the October meeting. Your feedback is valued.
