The Primary Connection

Welcome back! We are excited to have our students return after what we hope was a restful and enjoyable holiday break.

Please note that we will have a late start on Wednesday, January 7th, with students welcome to begin arriving at 10:10 a.m. Additionally, please remember to pack all winter weather gear each day, as we will continue to have outdoor recess unless temperatures fall below 0 degrees. As always, PLEASE label your child's winter gear. We have had several pairs of black snow pants in the lost and found already this year with no names. If items are labeled, we do are best to reunite the items to the student.

We are looking forward to a wonderful start to the new year with your children!

Project KidSight is a free vision screening program for young children, typically serving preschool and early elementary students. The Lions Club will visit the Primary School next week to screen our students.

What it does:

• Screens children’s vision to identify potential vision problems early

• Uses non-invasive, child-friendly equipment

• Takes only a few minutes per child and does not require reading or verbal responses

Why it matters

• Many vision issues aren’t obvious and can affect:

  • Learning and reading

  • Attention and behavior

  • Overall development

• Early detection allows families to seek professional eye exams and treatment if needed

Edwardsburg Primary is home to our district's Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students. Located in the village of Edwardsburg, Michigan, we offer classes that are traditional, gender specific, looping and multi-age. There is something for everyone at Edwardsburg Primary.
